[ The mansion barely survived the earthquake, with much of it standing whole while the periphery is bent and crumbled. Watch out for the crack in the courtyard.

When guests reach the door, they will be greeted by one of two plain maids to lead them to a large hall with the fire already burning low. On a table to the side are some sweets, candied fruits, torrone, marshmallows, as well as flasks of wine cut with water and soda. Anyone is welcome to add their own. There are many mismatched couches in a circle piled with pillows and thick blankets, as well as two calico kittens frolicking about.

Then there is one high-back chair in the middle for the storyteller. August first, but others are welcome to step up. ]

[ Frodo has seen a talking rabbit before but not... a giant one. Pardon his staring now, he did try not to but... muscular rabbit. ]

[Bunny will give a wave, just to be sure the guy can see him and isn't having some kind of breakdown]

[ It certainly feels like the latter. He waves back though. ]

A pooka, actually, but close enough. Name's Bunnymund.

I was told of another Bunny. The Easter Bunny who gave us all the chocolate.

[Awww yeah, his net amount of believers is growing. He likes that]

That'd be me. The one and only.

[bronwe]

You? [ Oh boy. ]

The eggs were very nice indeed.

That's what I was aiming for. I'm glad you all enjoyed them.

[bronwe]

[ He goes to take a seat beside him then. ]

Were they gifts? It is custom for us to return the favor.

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

They were gifts, but you don't have to give me anything in return. [He doesn't demand cookies like SOME people] I do it to bring people hope.

[bronwe]

[ He needs to stop and think about that for a moment. ]

But why eggs?

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

They're a symbol of rebirth, eggs. Something to look to the future for. Hope that there will be another day. It's everything Easter is about.

[bronwe]

[ He takes the time to ponder that. ]

The elves look to the stars for hope. One can keep toiling, when one knows that there is beauty far above the dark clouds concealing them even if I can never see them for myself.

Sounds like a good metaphor to me. Everyone needs something to look ahead for.

[bronwe]

I would look forward to these chocolate eggs again next year.

So long as I'm here, I can guarantee they will be, too.

[ He smiles. ]

Would it be cruel to wish you would never leave?

Probably not. I've got duties back home, but I have them here now, too.

[bronwe]

[ He nods. ]

There are children here too.

There are. Children who come form terrible worlds, terrible lives. They need guardians more than anyone I've ever met.

[bronwe]

I can think of a few.

Have you met Clementine?

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

I have, she's a right strong kid.

[bronwe]

She is. She has told me little but I think she deserves much goodness here after all she has seen back home.

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

And that's exactly what me and the other guardians will give her.

[bronwe]

And hope?
