this is all we got and then it's gone;
Who: The school nurse and his beloved patients
What: what do you think
When: Throughout the week. open night or day.
Where: the hospital wing
Rating: it's House.
[ the school nurse naps on one of the beds, a book open over his face. even here he refuses to wear anything marking his status so in jeans and sneakers he stays. the last person to have commented on his attire had ended up with enlarged purple ears. as he was also the only one with the antidote, he had not had to field any more questions after that.
numerous rumors abound regarding experiments, but they are only rumors. it is also a well-known fact he keeps the entire hospital wing booby-trapped; wander somewhere you shouldn't and you may find yourself with an overnight stay covered in painful boils.
but all jerkass clouds have a silver lining: he can be trusted not to rat the students out to the higher-ups. usually. ]

He tries clearing his throat beside the sleeping figure first. Wake up before dinner gets cold, please... ]

We're closed. Come back later.

[ What if the soup gets cold and then he would have entirely failed his duties, wouldn't he? He hesitates before reaching to tug at the man's arm. ]

Potato with bacon? Cubed cheddar, not shredded? Green onions thinly sliced?

Nevertheless he stops in front of the bed House naps on, staring down at the man with narrowed eyes. Sourness from their last encounter sitting faintly upon his tongue. Words echoing in the back of his mind. ]
Ahem.

with false courtesy, he inquires: ] Can I help you?
no subject
Aye.
[ He holds his hand up for display, skin an angry red from the burn. ]
I have a wound that needs tending.

OH MY GOD, You have to help me! My legs! I can't feel my legs!
[He thought he did a pretty good job of sounding properly panicked.]

[Well, either way, sharing a bed with someone in a group dormitory is just asking for trouble, so by the second day he decides that maybe he should seek out medical help. Maybe if he makes some bull excuse about it being a childhood hex, he'll get away with it. Magic seemed to go wonky all the time in Hogwarts anyway, right?]
[Though walking into the hospital wing, he freezes when he sees who it is. He sure remembers this guy from the family reunion]
[...Crap.]

Yeah?

So here's this kid with stupid hair and a bruised face coming in. Boring injuries. Just point him to the magic salve or whatever and he'll be out of here.]

Post Slytherin/Ravenclaw fight... I meeaaan Quiddich game ;)
He's holding his arm close to his chest as he limps in, keeping his wrist as immobile as possible. He's also bleeding from a gash in the side of his head, not to mention being covered with a fair amount of blood, sweat and dirt. Despite all of this he actually seems fairly impassive, simply raising an eyebrow at the doctor.]

Post slaughter of Ravenclaw...
He's standing at least, and that's a good sign, but he's a fifth year in a lot of pain from several broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Underneath the dirt and grime he's caked in, several large bruises and gashes to boot.
Watching the man in residence for a moment, he wonders if he walked in on the janitor instead.]
Not interrupting anything, am I?
no subject
My nap, if you must know. [ he quirks an eyebrow. ] There any more after you?
no subject
Not yet, but quite possibly. You are the school nurse, sir, yes? [He can't decide if he's hopeful on that question or not.]
