OPEN | Happy Birthday Tess
Who: Meg and Tess and YOU
What: Birthday Shenanigans
When: Sunday Night circa 10pm
Where: The Lux (Stay classy, ladies)
Rating: It's Meg and Tess plus booze, you do the math. Language and debauchery ahead.
After an overwhelmingly successful fashion binge and a few rounds of pregame drinks in Meg's room, the two of them head down to the bar - but not the one you'd think! They're giving Death Match a break for once and classing it up at The Lux, since it's a special occasion and all.
As they walk, Meg pulls her journal out. "Hey, Paradisa. Birthday party for Tess. At the Lux. Now. And yeah, you heard right. Come grab a drink or six with us."
She grins at Tess and winks. "Can't hurt to get more people in on the fun, especially since we're all dolled up."
They make their way into the bar and grab seats. They can be foundsucking down sipping classy looking martinis in their classy looking outfits, being all classy and shit. So classy.

Which is why she's at the Lux, she figured they wouldn't look for her there. She's more a Death Match type herself, but one had to be stealthy when one's own room was on alcohol lockdown.
And besides, she'd seen the journal invite; it's not like she'd be curled up alone in a corner. She'd be hanging with people, making friends. North would like that, right?
"Hey I heard there was a party here?"

"You heard right! I'm Meg. What's your name?"

"South Dakota. Like the state. Or just South if you're feeling lazy. You're from -- dammit, where do I know you?" The face was familiar but, well, South's been in a bit of a booze-induced fog that she's jut recently lifting out of.

Come to think of it, Meg really wasn't surprised that South didn't remember her, but she didn't make a habit of passing judgement. Hello... demon.

She settles herself in and starts flipping through the drink menu, even though she already has an idea what she wants. Just a plain and simple heavy beer. "So why is it you work here? It's not exactly like we've got a monthly rent to worry about, or anything."

Which is a terrible idea, but South's thinking it might be a good distraction for her right now.

She huffs the last word, crossing her arms and leaning back on her stool. Obviously she wasn't happy with the situation.

She shrugs like it's no big deal, but it's one of the greater factors in her recent slump. That and the loss of her twin brother but she's not admitting that to anyone.

She takes another sip of her drink. Meg knew she'd flat out lose it if Cas disappeared, she couldn't even think about it. Then again, she wouldn't exactly be a happy camper if August or Tucker or Crowley or Lara were just gone one day, either.
"Who's here from your world?"
no subject
"Uh, York, Carolina, and Washington, from the project, I worked with them ... Church and Tucker besides. There's Spartan here, she was part of a different project and a major bitch." If you ask South. If Meg were to ask anyone else she'd probably get a different answer.
no subject
"Tucker's cool. His buddy is a dick, though. I've heard about the others from them... does that make you a freelancer?" Not that she has any idea what the fuck that means, she's just heard it enough times.

"Well I guess you could say I was sort of part of a fucked up military situation, yeah," she answers, laughing. "But not so much on the whole bettering the human race thing."

She takes a drink, casually. Whatever Meg's answer, South already knows she likes her enough not to hold it against her.
