Of course, Jane absolutely had to insist. She wanted to be polite, especially to someone she had only known for at least a month now. After all, if she was to spend any time in Paradisa (and obviously she had), it was only right to be on good terms with everyone else.
Unfortunately, it was that kind of thinking that had gotten her into this experience. As Jane stared at the plate of grubloaf, she tried to imagine that it was something else. Meatloaf, preferably. As long as she told herself it was meatloaf, she was positive she could stomach it. And she wasn't alone, either! Rose had joined them, and it was nice to finally meet her in person...even if it was over alien cuisine.
Jane glanced up when Kanaya addressed her, and tried to give her best smile. "Ready as I'll ever be, I think."
