No offense meant by any of that, Gold. It's just that the other boy seems a lot less likely to try to eat John than the giant water thing. He's not sure if it's friendly or aggressive. It's not attack him right now, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, and he's not really looking to be taken unaware right now. Things lately keep throwing him off guard, and he's not even sure what world he's in half the time he opens his eyes again.

The other guy seems to know what it is though, so trying to take that advice and slowly float towards the boy without making too much of a fuss he calls back.
