The mind of a ten thousand year creature who feeds upon humans is not the place to be.
Though of course it's hard to know that that's where you are at the moment.
The forest is dark, no visible sky above, for all you know it's the middle of the day. You are armed with a loaded gun, but no extra rounds. No food, no water, no other supplies on you. How you got here? Hard to say. Everything around you seems to try and make a grab for you. Shadows and branches. But that's not it. That is not why everything inside you is screaming to run. To run for your life.
Out of the blue, a ghostly apparition grazes the corner of your sights.
