Right. So with air resistance, the air takes any chance it can get to push back.

[He'll hold the feather high in the air before dropping] For the feather, it's easy for it to push. All it's weight is spread out across it so each part of it is light in weight. The wind pushes up at it, keeping it up for longer because it feels so light to the air so it's easy. The air resistance is high.

Meanwhile the pebble? [He'll do the same to the pebble] It's very dense and compact, all it's weight is bunched up. Air doesn't have a chance to push against it. So the air resistance is low.
