Log: Bad Life Choices

[Zelos groaned very softly as he began to stir from his unconscious state, the tingling sensation of a hangover coming on running through his head. His memories of the night before were scattered into pieces as he tried to recall what happened]

[There was...Ino. Right. And she had told him something about Sheena and..four guys. Right. And then there was wall punching, a long walk, a bar, alcohol, more alcohol, some..blond and some..nutcrackers, right? Which led him to-]

[His vision cleared enough to see at least a glimpse of the room. Or rather, the pink walls and huge shelf of unicorn ceramics. ]

[Man, He really needed to find better coping mechanisms sometime. He couldn't even remember if he had told Lloyd and Colette he wouldn't be home last night....eh, they'll deal.]

[He shook his head, as if to shake away the early morning drowsiness that was caused by the alcohol. At least he couldn't hear any heart beat or breathing from the girl, so maybe she had already gone out and he could slip out. Slip out and pretend this never happened, he thought that seemed like a good plan as he rolled into the bed]

[And his back bumped straight into some body that was still in the bed, completely freezing in shock. It felt like it was at room temperature. And not at all breathing, in fact it was completely still and even with his hearing, he couldn't hear the faintest sound of life....]

Oh jeez...! Don't tell me she's...!


[Yeah. So re-examining his life choices right after he deals with this one. ]

Heh, why thank you. [He'll move to sit up a bit in the bed, brushing back a lock of his hair. Though from what she remembers huh?] Are things pretty blurry for you too?

A little bit. I mean, not black-out what did I do... but it's a bit of a haze of limbs and friction.

[She huffs. Of course, the one time she's had sex in the recent months... well, not that Ezio wasn't very nice at the Halloween party, but still. This was in her bedroom, in her bed. She should've remembered it.]

I'm sure it'll come back to me! I have an excellent memory.

[wilder]

Hmmm...

[He seems to consider a moment his situation ]

Well, that's not good. Want me to try to jog your memory?

[Her hands go into her hair once more, trying to fix it.]

That sounds like quite the offer. [She smiles, a bit coy, as she leans in closer to him.]

Well I'd hate for all of it to be fuzzy. That'd just be a shame.

[He'll smile too, before leaning down and pulling her into a kiss. Okay, sure it's kiiinda weird to be kissing someone that has no pulse when you're sober, but this seems like a much better plan to him than facing reality right away]

It really would. [She nods, eagerly, trying to not think about how very dead she is. What if the castle keeps her this way? What if it's all her fault? All the things she's done in her life, the way she tries to be super helpful here in Paradisa... maybe someone found out what she does in her future, maybe they wanted to put a stop to her evil plan of evil! Thwarting --

Her thoughts stop a bit as he kisses her.

What? It's a good kiss and even Harmony can appreciate that mid-panic attack.]

A real shame. [She even hums as she pulls back and sighs. Working for evil law firms and for vampires isn't -- wait.]

I work for a vampire back home! [Not said all too loud, but more like an ah-ha moment that she has.]

Maybe I got sired! [Her hand goes to her neck, feeling around.] You're not a vampire right? I mean, all the biting was sexy biting not rarr die and be my immortal lover forever biting. [a beat]

Not that you'd want me forever, but -- just you're not, right?

[Okay the kiss was good but then suddenly this girl goes on a rant about vampires and-]

What? No! Of course I'm not a vampire, I'm an a-

[Wait no okay just keep all this simple]

Nevermind that, but I promise I'm not a vampire and I didn't sire you.

Why? Do you think you're one?

[She shrugs, her hands not finding any marks or injuries.]

I don't know, but it would make sense. I mean, being one and the no pulse but not a zombie thing. [She glances around her room.]

Maybe there's a coffin. [a pink... no.]

No, maybe I'm just being silly. [She exhales.] It's just confusing and I'm trying to figure this out. I don't like not knowing. Which brings me back to the refresher course you offered... unless, this is too weird. I mean, I know I'm not crazy, but this has to be weird.

Even in this place.

[wilder]

Sure, but...

[He'll reach over and brush some her hair off her face]

You're you, okay? I mean, sure maybe the castle's got you on some weird vampire loss or something else is going on, but you still feel like you right? [you...man he sure wish he could remember her name]

So that's all that should matter.

[She nods, feeling relieved to not be alone in this. Not that he's sharing this experience, but -- anyway.]

Yeah, I mean, I didn't even realize there was anything wrong until you said anything. I thought, I thought it was fine. I feel one hundred percent like Harmony. [Look, she even solves the name game for you, Zelos! Harmony remembers his name, though.]

I just wasn't prepared for this sort of morning after. A headache, maybe a sore hip, but not... not dead.

Yeah...I gotta say this is a first for me morning after wise too.

[He shrugs]

But hey, if you feel like you're one hundred percent Harmony, don't worry about it!

Totally not gonna worry about it. [She nods, glad to have come to the rational choice of ignoring her apparent death.]

It's probably castle-crazy anyway and of all the things to focus on from last night, that shouldn't top the charts. [.... seems legit.]

[wilder]

Good! [And he's relieved that's settled even if it is...really weird]

And hey, I'd agree with that.

Good. [She smiles with a hint of relief, too.]

Definitely better things to focus on. [She nods, once more smiling at him.]

[He'll smile back and nod. He could agree with that sort of logic. Both when it came to the fact that for some reason she seemed to be dead and for the reasons that led him to all this]

[...Yeah, better not think about that. Ever. Better to try to reach over and lightly play with some loose piece of her hair with his fingers]

Mmhmm.

[She sighs softly, nodding and leaning toward him a bit. It's easier to just forget about her lack of a pulse and her case of slightly, could-be, possibly dead. It's totally normal. Yep. Perfectly a-okay with this.]
