deductiongeekWho: Conan and Anyone
What: Conan is obsessing over the spirals in fingerprints. He has ink and paper, and he wants to collect a print of every finger in the castle.
Where: On the third floor to start, but your character can run into him anywhere in the castle,
Conan had always thought there was something fascinating about fingerprints. True, they were nothing more than the impression of epidermal ridges. But he had always loved the elegance of the idea that such a simple and commonplace thing could be such a clear representation of identity.
Today, he could think of nothing else but the whorls and loops of arches of fingerprints. It had driven him to pull out all the fingerprinting kits and supplies he had collected over the years, and to take latent prints off of each door on the third floor. None very clear, of course. But it was enough to begin a collection.
It wasn't enough.
Latent prints were only part of the puzzle. He needed exemplar prints, and he needed them from every person in the castle. It was needed, if he was going to make any useful connections.
Conan immediately begins to make plans as he heads off in search of the nearest person. He'd begin by asking and simple manipulations. And if that didn't work? Then he'd just have to put a little effort into it.
