Despite the snow and the cold, Stephanie is out and about. After finding quite a few pretty necklaces and rings to wear for the upcoming celebration, it makes sense to reward her hard fifteen minutes of thieving by... thieving some more, of course. And causing some general disturbances in the city.

Paradisa is so freakin' boring. It needed to be New Year's already.

Her face is covered by a black mask, obscuring her features, and the rest of her is covered in purple, including her hood and cape. It was time to spoil someone's night.

Oh. It's this guy. Stephanie huffs.

"I really think you should. It'd be a shame if your walk ended up with you not being able to walk at all, and over what? Pocket change and a few trinkets?"

Surely he had something.

He frowns a little, trying to see past the mask.

"Do I know you from somewhere...?"

[secondchances]

"Nice try, Allen, just empty your pockets."

She says his name intentionally, rolling her eyes behind her mask.

"I'm only asking so many times."

[save_the_souls]

"So I do know you!"

Now it's to figure out from where! He didn't think he knew any muggers with ridiculous costumes.

"I think we both know I'm not going to empty my pockets."

[secondchances]

"Ding ding ding, we have a genius. Well, in some regards--it's not smart trying to resist a mugging, you know."

She puts a hand on her hip and taps her foot. Violence was fun and all, but she'd rather not get any bodily fluids on her suit. She just washed it.

"I like my money," he says matter of factly. That and he had some lost room items on him, which he sure wasn't going to give over to a mugger.

Though now things are starting to click...

"...Stephanie?"

"There goes the lightbulb. This is the last time I'm telling you, Allen. Drop what you have before I take it from you."

She takes a step forward.

"But why would you want to take my stuff? Aren't you one of those superhero sort?"

He does not step down.

[secondchances]

"Don't make me puke in this mask," she groans, covering her mouth regardless. "I'm not a chump."

[save_the_souls]

"I never said you were a chump! But you're Batgirl- you help people!"

[secondchances]

"Batgirl? Bat? Hell no. This hood does not touch anything Bat-related unless it involves punching."

Stupid Batman. Stupid Gotham. Stupid--wait, she was supposed to be mugging and then probably helping out with that stupid feast. Whoops.

[save_the_souls]

"...."

He sighs. What a perfect end to a perfect day.

"Right. Must be a loss of some sort then."

[secondchances]

She stares at him, blankly, even through the mask.

"Seriously?"

[save_the_souls]

"Yes, seriously."

Maybe he was never close to Stephanie, but he knew the bat family well enough that they took their...well rather strange names very seriously.

"I know it might not seem like it to you, but I believe that's what it is."

[secondchances]

"You're no fun at all," she huffs, seriously contemplating rushing him. Would he hurt a girl? One he sort of knew? Hard to tell.

[save_the_souls]

"Sorry."

He wasn't sorry, moving into his own battle stance.

"Though this means I should stop you before you do anything you'll regret when this is over."

[secondchances]

That answers that. Steph spreads her feet, getting ready for a fight.

"Good thing I don't regret anything I do."

[save_the_souls]

Allen will in turn activate his powers now, his white cape materializing over his body and his mask covering his face. His left hand grows into talons.

"Not yet."

[secondchances]

... if that wasn't her cue to perhaps find another guy to bother for kicks, she didn't know what is.

She pulls a grappling gun from her belt and shoots it up, up onto a rooftop.

"I just remembered I needed to be somewhere!"

Look Stephanie he tried to warn you several times. Except now that he knows it's her and should probably be stopped, he shoots several ribbons at her hand that is shooting the grappling gun.

She's a few feet in motion when the gun is knocked out of her hand. Crapcrapcrap. She lands on her feet, however, and puts her hands up.

"What are you going to do to me?"

She's not worried.

When the gun is in his hold he throws it aside a fair distance with his ribbons as he walks towards her.

"Nothing bad. I think a few days in the old Peace Patrol cells should suffice."

[secondchances]

"This is Gotham-grade freaky, by the way."

She watches her grapple go flying, and then hops back a few feet. Great. Prison? She'd get in trouble for that.

"I'm sure we can talk this out."

[save_the_souls]

"I don't think we can."

He smiles before shooting more webbing, this time at her.

[secondchances]

She's a moment too slow, and gets tangled in the webbing. The immediate reaction? To thrash, of course.

"Ew! Get this off of me!"
