Who: Sheena Fujibayashi [personal profile] rose_of_battle and Once-ler [personal profile] whichwayyoulean
What: All that avoiding each other finally comes to a head.
When: Now
Where: In the stables.
Rating: G/maybe PG considering Sheena's mouth.

With a sigh, Sheena entered the stables, hoping a visit with Onyx would help cheer her up. After her trip to the Dead Zone, she thought she had had everything figured out and what she had to do, but upon returning, she realized that was wrong. First, people weren't acting the way she had expected, and second, the one person she needed to talk to had been sent home, leaving her feeling guilty about not doing it sooner.

And a quick glance through the journal only made that worse when she saw that he had been worried about her and tried to contact her. Damn her stubbornness! It only led to trouble.

Her heart sank when she didn't see the Chocobo in its stall, but she knew that could mean someone may have taken it out for a ride--not that it had gone when Cloud had. Although the fact that someone was able to only drove home that fact. Turning from the stall, she came face to face with the dragon-like horse that Zelos rode on the expedition. Taking a step back, she shook her head. Why was she being reminded of those people she had hurt all of a sudden? Rather than face the question, she hurried over to Onyx, setting the bag of goodies she had brought for the horse on a nearby shelf so she could give the animal a hug, which the mare tolerated with equine dignity and a soft snort.

After a minute, Sheena smiled and stepped back. "I've got something for you," she told the horse, opening the bag. Inside was a small collection of apples and carrots; the ninja had about two weeks of visits to make up for--although she knew not to do it all at once. Reaching inside, she pulled out one of each, giving the mare a choice. When she grabbed the apple, she almost laughed, but stopped when she heard a sound coming from a previously unoccupied stall. Exchanging a look with Onyx--who seemed unperturbed--Sheena slowly looked into the stall...

...and found a donkey.

She didn't know who it belonged to, but in all fairness, she couldn't help what she did. After all, he had already seen the carrot, so she held it out to him.

"Would you like this?"
