She huffs a little bit. "I don't need to actually have her to have gotten her, Dirk! I know the work and thought you put into her. If I never see her again, then that is enough of a gift for me." She gave a lot of edible gifts herself, so she knows they are long gone by now, but she likes to think the thought she put into each one was appreciated.

Besides that, though, the idea of wanting to leave early never crosses her mind. The people here were nice! What part of nice people in a room was ever intimidating?

After a beat, she clears her throat. "If you are taking the time to look her over, though, I...wouldn't mind knowing exactly what went wrong with her. If you happened to notice."
