While anyone else might have awoken with a panicked start, Joshua knows when a move is a threat and when it isn't. And really, nothing about Lucrezia is threatening to him. So he just lets out a drowsy mutter, words muffled against the pillow as he nearly starts to bury his face into it before giving in to roll onto his back. Blinking open his bleary eyes, Lucrezia's face is barely in focus before he reaches to push up her skirt and hook his hands beneath her knees, jerking her further up so that she's more properly in his lap when he sits up for a kiss.
And stops just short when he catches someone in his peripheral vision, and turns to offer a curious (not-so-surprised) smile Spike's way.
"Spike. Here I thought we'd only have one guest today..." Or tonight, rather. Looking back to Lucrezia again, he moves one hand to poke her square in the belly. "This mansion is turning into a train station. Should I blame you?"
