[ When he sees movement out of the corner of his eye, Remus pauses and turns his head in her direction. His ears flick forward and he stands still, just watching her for any sign of alarm or fear.

After a moment or two, he decides it might be best not to stay and takes a step forward, still watching her carefully. ]
