Within the basement, a very large tube has manifested, containing one large, armored supersoldier, currently in the deep freeze of Cryosleep.

The window to the cryotube is slightly frosted over, but it's clear enough to see the figure inside; well over 6', and covered from head to toe with black matte undersuit and an iridescent green armored plating, complete with helmet with a curving gold visor.

There's a keypad to the side of it, with a typical setup of letters and numbers, but there's no indication what code might pop the tube open.

[[Right now Kelly cannot respond, so feel free to tag each other, speculate, look for clues. There's got to be a way to open this thing somehow, right?]]

Pleasure to meet you, Kelly. Paradisa's kind of a...space-time anomaly. We're all stuck here for the time being. Good news is there's plenty of resources and a relatively stable environment. The bad news is it messes with us sometimes and won't let us leave until it wants to let go.

As for me, I'm with a Special Ops program called Project Freelancer. Think of us as beta testers for your equipment. Church here [he nods over at the Blue is with the Project, too, and there are a handful of others around. Anyone you see with familiar armor that isn't Six here or Lucy-091 is with the Project.

[Kelly's first priority, as soon as she'd finished introductions and basic SITREP with Noble Six and those with the Freelancer program - which she'd have to do more research into - was to search out Lucy.]

[She found her own room in the process, luckily just across the hall from the other Spartan.]

[She knocks smartly on the door, listening for any movement within.]

[Lucy glances up from the book she's been slowly making her way through, some odd collection of fractured fairy tales that somehow keeps making her smile. She wasn't expecting company.

Setting the book aside, she goes to open the door. What's on the other side is, well... unexpected, to say the least.]

[Kelly had been doubting the validity about this whole place. She'd only had the word from an unknown Spartan and unknown soldiers from a completely unknown project to go on, on a planet in a dimensional bubble ... amended; another dimensional bubble.]

[Without Mendez or Halsey, or any of the other IIs, Kelly's already feeling a thin but undeniable layer of anxiety settle on her. Actually seeing Lucy when the door opened gave her a breath of visible relief. Her rigid stance eased, and she tipped her head.]

They said you were here.

[Lucy blinks quickly a few times before vaguely smiling. Then she makes that two-fingered gesture for smile, something only Spartans and their closest mentors know, because she'll be damned if she isn't happy.

She can't know what Kelly's seen or experienced so far, but she steps back into the room and reaches for her journal in short order.]

[Kelly sweeps two fingers over her own visor, happy to see at least one familiar face here, and steps in after Lucy and closes the door.]

[She makes a calculated sweep of the room, noting weapons, escape routes, wondering what Lucy was reaching for.]

So, another dimensional bubble. This should be fun.

[Lucy tilts hr head to the side, then nods. Kelly must be from around the same time she is. She writes slowly in the journal, then turns it to show Kelly.]

Onyx?

[Kelly frowns at the journal, not because of the words on it, but the fact that Lucy was writing.]

Onyx, yes. Trevelyan now. [She frowns slightly deeper, removing her helmet and running a hand over her hair as her thoughts strayed to Kurt.] Remember, Halsey renamed it?

[She shakes her head slowly. That part she doesn't remember.]

I was not with you.

Oh, yes you were. You talked, Lucy. You don't remember that?

[There was definitely something not quite right about this situation.]

[She blinks, then looks as though she's about to write. There's hesitation, though, as she considers her circumstances.

She can't speak. She can't. She makes a brief gesture toward her throat, shaking her head.]

[Church waves slightly at the introduction, but he's probably better off keeping his mouth shut for now.]

[which is no small feat in itself.]

No one is familiar until they get here.

Yes, I was. I was brought here from serving with Noble Team on Reach.

And don't worry about the Freelancers. They're not a threat. Been working with them since I arrived. Just be careful. They are not our equals physically. They're normal humans.

Another Freelancer named Carolina found you and reported it. And she's been helpful in guarding.

[Lucy. Well that's at least a familiar name. The Freelancers are still an anomaly - how are they even wearing Mjolnir if they haven't been augmented? - and if Noble Six was on Reach when Kelly was, she'd want to know. She files those questions away for later; right now she had to find out her present situation and locate Lucy.]

So we're in another dimensional bubble? Or is this another part of the Forerunner shield world?

[Kelly nods, processing that information. Had that outburst been a one-time thing? Or was what they said about different timelines true?]

I heard you.

I can't.

[Lucy looks confused. That can't be right.]

[She reaches out to grip lightly at Lucy's shoulder, It's okay. Whatever the reason, if Lucy didn't want to talk now, Kelly's not going to push her.]

[After she's sure the message got through, she drops her arm and goes to look out the window at the castle grounds.] What do you think of those Freelancers?

They've helped me. I was alone when I got here, besides B312.

[Lucy squares her shoulders. A shake of her head indicates that she really doesn't know what to do now, or where she stands.]

[Carolina does what she can to not openly glare at that. It'd be easy if York kept his mouth shut for two seconds.]

If he's willing to follow the same rules, I'm willing to.

He will. [She's isn't putting up with shit.]

Then there won't be any problems. [Carolina turns back to face the cyrotube, gaze on the Spartan inside.]

I don't know this Spartan. But no matter what, she'll be welcome.

It's good to have some kind of team... Even if I'm not used to it anymore.

[Carolina would readily argue that being on a team is overrated, that trusting others just sets one up to be hurt, but she keeps her mouth shut for now. If Six wants to set herself to get stabbed in the back, she can go ahead.

Instead, she'll answer with a neutral,] I'm sure she'll feel welcome.

Shield world? Not that I know of, so it must be another bubble.

[He'll have to ask her about that later, though he gives Six a helmetroll - not a threat, huh?.]
