Within the basement, a very large tube has manifested, containing one large, armored supersoldier, currently in the deep freeze of Cryosleep.

The window to the cryotube is slightly frosted over, but it's clear enough to see the figure inside; well over 6', and covered from head to toe with black matte undersuit and an iridescent green armored plating, complete with helmet with a curving gold visor.

There's a keypad to the side of it, with a typical setup of letters and numbers, but there's no indication what code might pop the tube open.

[[Right now Kelly cannot respond, so feel free to tag each other, speculate, look for clues. There's got to be a way to open this thing somehow, right?]]

[Once the giraffes get back around sundown, Carolina doesn't go straight to her room. She's got a lot to do, starting with evacuation plans and what might still be down in the old Peace Patrol HQ might help in knowing what can and can't be wished up or built in the Castle. On the way through the basement to the old PP HQ, though she spots the cyrotube. Spartan not sold separately.

She pauses and approaches carefully, grateful that her armor worked now that they were back in the powered zone, albeit sans helmet. The first thing she notices is the height and the armor, indicating its occupant to definitely be a Spartan. Why said Spartan is still in cyrosleep is bizarre to her, though. No one had ever come to the Castle still asleep that she knew of.

Then again, she hadn't known many Spartans in the Castle, besides the NOBLEs.

But, speaking of the NOBLEs, she knows she has a responsibility to at least report the presence of another Spartan to Six, even if said Spartan is still frozen.

So, Carolina will gingerly knock on the glass and otherwise try and see any kind of numbering on the armor that might indicate who the newcomer is.]

[There's no reply. The Spartan within is deep in Cryosleep and unattainable without being thawed first.]

[The only identifier are the numbers 0-8-7 on the breastplate.]

[Hmm. Maybe she can use the Castle's microwave to try and thaw her out. That is Carolina spots those numbers and frowns at the cyrotube. From what she knows, the numbering definitely confirms the Spartan vibe she'd been getting. It also definitely confirms that she needs to contact NOBLE Six sooner rather than later, or else she'd end up with someone else breathing down her neck about everything she does.

The last person she wants to intentionally piss off is NOBLE Six.

So, she'll tug up her journal from the makeshift pack she'd borrowed from the giraffes to get ready to contact the other Spartan when she spots the keypad. She'll quickly try 0-8-7 as a combination.]

[the microwave isn't even big enough Carolina geez]

[The light atop the keypad blinks red with a blaring honk; WRONG.]

[Well that should be a clear enough sign to Carolina to not try again. Might as well let NOBLE Six handle inputting codes that no one knows. Time to make a journal entry.]

[A bit after the entry, Six is on her way. She was in a hurry at hearing about a fellow Spartan showing up. Her dislike of Carolina could be ignored.] Freelancer?

NOBLE. [Carolina is indeed still standing in front of the cyrotube, but glances toward the door with a hawkish gaze.]

Thank you for telling me. [Examining the cryotube, frowning.]

[Carolina nods in acknowledgment as she watches NOBLE Six.] I don't know when or how it arrived. It could have come during the expedition; not many people come through the basement anymore.

I was a bit distracted. There was another newly arrived Spartan. Arrived just before the Expedition, or I would have been there.

[Carolina frowns for a moment, thinking of just how easily overpowered she would be now. Not that a NOBLE was anything to sneeze at, but before there had almost always been a majority of Freelancers to the minority of Spartans. Now, Carolina largely only counted herself as the last loyal Freelancer, who could now be easily outnumbered 3-1.]

Understandable. [Might as well try to not piss them off too much.] Until our new arrival wakes from cyrosleep, one of us should stay down here.

[And it'd only take one to beat her into the ground, too.] I don't need much sleep, so I'll be down here a lot. But I'm willing to let you help guard on one condition, if you wish.

You either be quiet or leave the room if York shows up. I don't know what happened to you two. It's not my business. I just want you to keep peace in the presence of this so that we don't break it with a fight.

[There's been no changes over the past couple days that Kelly's been under cryosleep since her arrival. Her biosigns have remained static, in perfect consistency with the deep, frozen sleep for long jumps.]

[She is still blissfully unaware of the world she's been brought into and the challenges therein.]

[Noble Six has been guarding ever since she found out, ignoring the need to sleep as much as she could. She's a Spartan. They don't need sleep.

She's waiting though, patiently. They had something in a confidential envelope. Hopefully it really is the code.]

All right, guys. [York sounds pretty excited; if nothing else, he gets to show off that his cryotubes work. Also, not that often that he gets to see a Spartan wake up. He nods over to Six; he'd given it a good shot earlier, but it turns out ONI-generated codes are a bit harder to crack than simple locks.]

Here goes nothing. Church, you have the code?

[He hands the envelope over. Honestly, if he hadn't been right there he would have ignored M's message entirely. That and being wicked curious about the whole cryotube thing.

Consider his part of the job done. From here on he's a damn tourist.]

Let me see it. She's safe, and the cryotube is functioning normally.

But being stored like this forever isn't something I wish on any Spartan.

You want to open the envelope, York, or should I?

[York shrugs and opens the envelope.]

Looks like it's the right number of digits. TRAPPER-LOWJACK-UNSCTREVAL-K087.

[He shows it to Six so she can enter it correctly.]

Hope this is the right code.

[Church moves out of the way... to a spot that conveniently happens to have a better view of what's going on.]

[Six nods.] It definitely looks right. Can't hurt.

[Carefully entering in the code as written, activating it.]

[The keypad beeped, the light shining green, the code had been accepted. A moment later the tube hissed slightly as it gradually heated up inside, the thaw melting away and ]eventually the Spartan starting to stir as she entered a conscious state again.]

[Behind her visor, Kelly blinked herself awake, curious first why she was coming out of cryo when she couldn't remember going into it, and secondly at the collection of armored and unarmored personnel outside the tube. Of the armored ones, none of them looked familiar, though the armor looked like Mjolnir. They weren't IIs, she would have recognized any straight away. IIIs, maybe? But how had they gotten Mjolnir?]

[She holds onto these thoughts, letting the tube cycle through completely before reaching up to pull the grip at the top of the tube to open it manually.]

[She looked at each one individually as she stepped fully into the room, standing an inch taller than Noble Six. She still didn't recognize any of them.]

This isn't where I planned to be.

[She wasn't sure where that was, actually, given the turn of events that had found them when they left the Sphere. But, it's not like she's never woken up to find herself someplace unexpected, before.]

[York feels like high-fiving someone, but he should probably act more professional around the Spartan. He straightens up.]

Welcome to Paradisa, Spartan. None of us planned to be here, but you've got allies. Situation's currently peaceful - we found your tube here in the basement a few days ago. I'm York.

[Six is rolling her eyes just a little at York under the helmet, but it's not in a bad way. She likes him. But more of her attention is on the Spartan in front of her] I am SPARTAN-B312 of Noble Team. Call me Noble Six or Six.

Who are you?

Paradisa? I'm not familiar. I have been out of the loop for a spell, though. [She regards York and Church, taking in their ... insouciant mammers, then turns to nod at Six. None of that sounded familiar, except maybe the 'B'. ]

Kelly-087. Are you with Beta company, with the threes?

[She glances back at the other two, as if to indicate and them?]
