Who: Muraki and Clow
What: A second encounter aboard the Event Horizon results in a struggle for both the core and for their lives
When: May 8th (Day 4 of EH plot)
Where: The Event Horizon, gravity core room
Rating: R for gore and death
Muraki knows he isn't strong enough. His only hope - everyone's hope - is to activate the core before they can get away. He had hoped to collect more converts for the transition - a captive audience to witness their ascension first hand, but two would have to do. He'd done his service to the darkness, and would be rewarded.
Upon reaching the gravity core, however, he finds both bodies absent. One of the others - the ones resistant to the truth - must have freed them while he sought to keep the bombs from being found. He growls, the sound echoes in the hollow space, disappearing into the quiet whoosing of the rings around the core.
Laughter escapes his throat as he raises his arms to the air.
"So be it. Let us go home."
