"A few things," he starts lamely. He wants to know what happened, but he had a suspicion after seeing her with Faye. He remembers trying to get her help to track Anne down, so he can only make assumptions. Everything went to Hell and back again and all he can do is make jokes. Maybe he tries too hard to seem normal.
