[Spike had his reasons for hanging out this late, which unfortunately didn't even involve drinking. So when he spots some girls spontaneously change outfits in the blink of an eye, he doesn't have that excuse to fall back on.

Whatever is going on with them, it's enough to keep him from noticing what he suddenly has on (fake muscle shirt and all), until he feels something scratching at his neck...
