Who: Albus Dumbledore & Open!
What: He makes a request and it is fulfilled. Said request requires some experimentation - just to be on the safe side.
When: Not long after his arrival.
Where: His room and then the hallway.
Rating: Low.
His heart was beating, blood was running through his veins and there was oxygen in his lungs. The Magic of Paradisa had done a remarkable job of restoring him to full health. In fact, he was healthier now than he had been at his death. There was no sign of the Horcrux's Curse on his hand, arm or anywhere else. He also wasn't suffering from the Potion he had ingested in the cave.
Truly, he had very little to complain about. Except...
He was lacking a wand. Of course his Elder Wand had been snatched by Tom; that was to be expected, but to be without a wand completely - that was something Albus didn't care for. It wasn't that he was scared of being attacked. He felt quite comfortable in Paradisa already. But there were certain comforts only a wand could offer and he had no intention of being without them.
Thus he stood in the middle of his room, his arms crossed behind his back and made a request.
"I am in need of a wand. I would prefer one with a Phoenix Feather core if it's not too much to ask?" his brows knitted together as he waited.
Any wood would do. Albus had spent a great deal of time with Ollivander, acquainting himself with the make and difference between one wand and another. As long as the stick wasn't made out of Yew - a relatively rare wood - he thought he could make do.
However when it came to the core - Albus felt he needed to insist upon a Phoenix Feather. In elemental terms, Albus had always favored fire. If he hadn't had the Elder Wand, he would have used one of Fawke's tail-feathers for the core of his wand.
"I wonder why I never did that." he murmured to himself, saddened that he had never bonded with his bird in that manner.
Fortunately his thoughts were cut off when a wand appeared in his hand. Curling his fingers around it, he brought it closer, examining it. The faint hum of power meant that the core was indeed that of a Phoenix Feather, but the wood...
The wood was surprising.
Aspen.
Albus found himself smiling at the irony. Glancing upward, he gave whoever might be watching him a grateful nod. Then, pointing the wand steadily at the grate, he called forth a cheerful, crackling fire. Just as quickly, he extinguished it.
Amused, the Wizard then let himself out into the hallway, waving the wand so that twinkling lights - akin to fairy-lights - floated up into the air, sparkling in midair innocently. There would be quite a few halls bedecked with them, but it would make wandering about at night more interesting, surely?
