As shocked as Meg was that Cas was currently mortal, she didn't feel anything less for him. If anything, she felt immediately protective, as she had, deep down, when she had watched over him the previous year.

She read along as he wrote his answer, and was completely taken aback by the fact that they'd arrived almost simultaneously.
