It's been hours, and the woman still hasn't come back. Zeiram is still out there, somewhere, in the darkness, and you're still trapped in the empty cordon. What are you going to do?

[Vicious is ready to be done with this whole mess. As soon as Maladict and Cass are free and Zeiram has turned its attention back to him, he aims and fires the weapon. Time to get this over with.]

[It works, of course.

Zeiram's body explodes into a mass of flesh and fire, crumpling down into a smoking heap. But then...]

[Then...

From out of the pile of burning flesh, something else arises. Topped by the "hat," a skeletal structure emerges. Spindly legs -- too many legs, too many limbs -- and a large, oversized ribcage. The sound of bone cracking is audible in the air as its new parts snap into place. It's still alive.

And it laughs.]

[Right about then, there's a blinding flash of light and Iria appears on some scaffolding nearby. She takes a moment to quickly look around and figure out what's happening, and --]

Damn it. Shoot him again!

[She reaches inside her armor and pulls out a remote, quickly typing something in.]

[Nothing is ever easy, is it? Maladict catches her breath (a new and unsettling concept for her) before looking at Cass, leaving the thing to the guy with the gun]

You got bit, you holding up okay? [Because that is a lot of blood, she's almost GLAD she isn't herself right now or that'd have even more problems]

[Keeping her attention on the fight and very glad to see Iria doing alright, Cass nods as she rips the sleeve of her shirt off, using it to tie around one of the bites and stop the bleeding at least a little.]

Doesn't hurt. Just hope... second shot works.

[Vicious just scowls when the skeleton crawls up out of the remains. Of course it wasn't that simple. He's already preparing to shoot it again when Iria reappears, and he doesn't really need her direction to line up a second shot and shoot the thing again.

Hopefully this time it will stay down]

[The skeletal Zeiram explodes with the second shot.

Iria aims her remote at the remainder -- the fleshy "hat" with the mask on it -- and presses the button. Like the first time she trapped the creature, electricity arcs around it and then a polygonal box forms. He's frozen and trapped.]
