Where: The Lobby (and really anywhere in the Castle, he's doing a lot of wandering, but the intro is set up for the lobby)!

[Sam honestly isn't exactly sure how he ended up here in what looks like a too-fancy lobby, but he knows it involved a lot of wandering, going down some stairs, going up others. His small chucks shuffle across the floor as he stares out at the large space from where he starts down the staircase toward one of those couches. Part of him guesses that this isn't LA, but how could he have gone anywhere besides?

Curiously, he regards the first couch he comes to, sitting himself down on it and folding his legs. At least this is better than his previous plan of riding off to the park to sit in the rain. He's still more than a little soaked, but that's not important to him right now.]

[Sam shakes his head rapidly, curls flopping around.] Nothing.

Okay. Let's go find the science section.

[and she'll start to wander in that direction]

[And Sam will eagerly follow Max. He likes science, well what little of it he knows, and if DNA's in science, then that makes it even cooler.]

[it takes a little bit of time, but eventually Max reaches up and pulls out one of the thinner books with pictures]

This should do it.

[and starts flipping through for one of the pictures of DNA]

[Sam stands up on his toes, trying to see as much of the pictures as he can. Various glossy images of bacteria and other small things and he wants to pretty much ask about all of them, but he'll wait for goal here.]

[and eventually she'll come to a stop, before turning a picture like this around to face him]

That's DNA. Or ... at least what we think it looks like.

[Sam stares for a couple seconds, reaching out to touch the picture. Sure, it doesn't have ridges or grooves, but he's still tracing on strand of the DNA with his finger.]

We have this?

[nods]

It's built into our body. Kind of like a computer code.

I know about computer code. [His expression brightens as he glances up from the book, leaving his fingers on the book.]

Yeah? You like working with computers?

My dad does! He's a programmer. [Not that he knows what that is.]

Oh, cool. What kind of programs does he work on?

He made a couple games. TRON and Space Paranoids!

Never heard of them. They might have been before my time.

[That makes Sam stare up curiously at her.] 1989?

[nods]

Definitely before my time. I'm from 2021.

[His eyes go a little wide.] Woah.

[grins]

Yep. Surprises a lot more people than you'd think.

Are there flying cars then?

[laughs]

No, not yet. We hit a bit of a slump, tech wise, but we're working on it.

[Pause.] Flying skateboards?

[wrinkles her nose and shakes her head]

Nope. Sorry.

Flying anything? [B'aww disappointment.]

Nothing but planes, and I think you had those back then.

Yeah, the planes are really big and super loud.
