"Agreed," Thorin nodded solemnly. "But I know not who else may already know. Frodo obviously knows the most about the Ring. And I know not who he may have spoken to about it."

He could very well have inspired someone to desire the Ring, but Thorin did not think Frodo so foolish. He was a fine lad who had fallen into an unfortunate circumstance.
