Cass trails off there and is silent for a long moment, for long enough that Ellie might think she's not going to answer, but it's just a hard thing to think about, everything that went wrong in space. "The ship was bad. Some people were... kidnapped, came back insane. Tried to kill people, we had to... blow ship up, escape on another one. Lots of people were hurt."

And some were lost forever in space, never to be heard from again.
