Make my wish come true
Who: Meg & Castiel
What: Opening their presents
When: Christmas Morning
Where: Meg's Room
Rating: PG
Tiny rainbows danced on the wall of Meg's bedroom as the early morning sunlight streamed through ice crystals outside the windows. Her eyes fluttered open from not-really-sleeping and she stared at the pretty sight for a few moments before she rolled over in bed and snuggled in close to Cas. Meg pressed a kiss to his cheek and whispered "Merry Christmas" in his ear with a little nuzzle. After a bit of cuddling, the ever-restless demon got up to sit beneath the tree on the first happy Christmas morning she could remember having in the entirety of her long-suffering afterlife.
Strangely, two identical packages had appeared there overnight, wrapped in silver-white paper with matching bows fixed on top. Tags with their names in perfect calligraphy and no indication of who the presents were from gave her the nagging feeling that they were gifts from Paradisa itself, and a nervous excitement set in as she placed them back on the fake snow of the tree skirt.
Meg reached behind the tree and pulled out the box she had wrapped up in blue paper for her angel. She had gotten him a little something at a shop in town "just because" a few weeks back, but with all that had happened recently, the gift had been forgotten until after the castle returned to business as usual a few days before Christmas.
Once she had wished up a tray with a pot of coffee and fresh, warm cinnamon rolls, Meg turned around and called over her shoulder to Cas.
"C'mere, sleepyhead. We've got presents to open."
