All the broken hearts in the world still beat
Who: Lee and Carley
What: OMFG DATES
When: March 10
Where: Carley's room
Rating: PG-13?
Typically dates are supposed to make people feel nervous, but that's about the last thing Carley feels right now. Maybe she's just past that age, or maybe it's just because things with Lee feel so comfortable that there's just never any reason to feel uncertain about the relationship they've been slowly piecing together.
It's been a few months now and her life in Paradisa is beginning to feel exactly like that, a real life. It's less playing house in a castle, she's more settled in and looking at this place like it could be a home. It's more secure than the motor inn, much safer than the dairy farm and a far cry from Kenny's beat up old RV.
Lee and Ben and Clementine, they're starting to feel less like a group and more like her real family, and it's not as scary a thought as it could be. She's put flowers in the middle of her table and brought up food from the kitchen, but there's no candles burning to make it stereotypically romantic. She's dressed nicely, silk blouse and an expensive looking skirt because now that she can wish for things, she can wish for the finer things in life.
Everything is set and ready and when she glances at the clock, she sees it's just in time. Very nearly six already and she would bet money on Lee being on time for something like this, so she does one last quick check of her room before judging it fit and sitting down to wait for Lee's arrival.
