She's still laughing, tension rolling off her shoulders in waves. Fred realizes then that it's not that she is specifically worried for Wesley's safety. Not with being under Elektra's care. And even that selfishly, she's going to miss him? It isn't that either.

It's that seeing him so small she can't help but think of Wesley's father. And ultimately the years that still sit between the two of them. There's still so much unresolved.

Fred smiles past all of it.
