[ Had it been anyone else but her mother explaining where they were and what to expect here, Arya would not have believed them. The concept was hard to understand much less swallow. But if there is someone in the world she still trusts wholeheartedly it is her mother. She would not lie to Arya. Not about something like this.

Thus after she found a moment to wander away from Catelyn, she decided to explore the castle, Needle at her side. If she was to be here for a while, she needs to know what can be found. She had always enjoyed discovering new places, talking to new people. Maybe a day to tire herself out was all she needed to sleep through the night again. ]

What's the difference?

Unicorns have horns, whereas Pegasi have wings.

I, on the other hoof, am something of an anomaly. The most common term for one such as me is "alicorn," 'though "winged unicorn" is also used.

And you all have magic?

Yes. While unicorns have the most obvious sort of magic, Pegasi have inherent abilities that allow them to live on their cloud homes and control the weather.

Horses control the weather?

In my world, we do. From what I have seen here, no other resident has such a thing in their worlds.

Of course, the weather patrol typically operate within the confines of a town or city.

So what happens with the weather in the woods and fields and such? Who controls it there?

Weather is not confined to whatever township lines we may draw. What we do in a town affects the surrounding area as well. If anything goes awry out there, then the town's Pegasi will have to correct it.

The only exception is the Ever Free Forest. Nopony has lived there in a long, long time. As such, the weather is 'wild,' so to speak.

Twelve. But you talk about ponies. Ponies are baby horses not adults.

Baby horses are foals, not ponies. Ponies are adults in and of themselves.
