There's no salvation for me now; closed
Who: Carolina and York; closed
What: Another Big Conversation.
When: After Wash's return and Carolina's conversation with South (and Wyoming's arrival).
Where: York's Room
Rating: PG-13, R possibly for language. As usual, will update if this changes.
[To say that Carolina's nerves were already frayed, despite Wash's return, would be an understatement. She had never been much of a politician but hell she felt like one now. There's all kinds of careful words and eggshells she's stepping around on, something she'd never had to do at Project Freelancer. The authority, the line, was always there and anyone who crossed it received automatic heat from the Director. The fact that she thought having the Director here could be beneficial just reminded her that she needed to loose some steam as well as just sit and talk with York about a few things.
He needed to be protected, him and Delta both if she'd read South's interjection correctly. Sure, Carolina had gone and talked to the other woman, but she didn't feel all that much assured. The TARDIS would likely now no longer be an option. With Eleven gone and Five not remembering much of anything, their options of protection were rapidly narrowing. The Danger Room would likely be the best choice, but damn did she hate the Danger Room and having York out of reach was never something she liked, even if it was for his own safety.
Knocking neatly at his door, Carolina exhaled thickly. They'd gone from being pretty alright, if even borderline happy, to losing their kids, a powerful ally (and friend, if she admitted it to herself), a teammate nearly, and the arrival of a likely enemy.
No, they'd manage. She'd manage.]
