Notes: WARNING like most of the dreams this will allude to something really personal for Adachi but it involves some P4 end game spoilers, although it won't outright explain/say what happened (it'll be awfully incriminating though). So if you don't want to spoil yourself or have your character hear this stuff yet you might want to stray away!
[There doesn't at least appear to be anything wrong. The scenery is surprisingly gentle, a pristine environment untouched by man. The wind blows gently, swaying the flora like a mother rocking a sleeping baby. It's oddly serene but a melancholy hangs in the air.
Well this doesn't look too bad!
Except there is one person.
He's sitting on the ground, not too far away from a weird looking, blocked off cave, his face in his hands. His clothes are far from what someone would describe as normal.
Approach?]

Phase 2 - Descent
The landscape isn't too unlike that of Magatsu Inaba: there are mountains of red rock jumbled together like piles of junk as far as the eye can see, and an apparent abyss beneath path ways and "stairs" and walls. The ceiling is not the rock you'd expect to see, but a sky of black and red. Fog rolls in and out as time passes.
There are shadowy figures moving around, fading away and fading back in again. Sometimes their yellow eyes follow you closely until they fade away again. Sometimes they leave foot prints full of maggots and black sludge in their wake... sometimes though they hang from mountains and poles, twitching and dripping everywhere.
On top of that the place is far too warm, not yet hot, but enough to be at least somewhat uncomfortable. There are whispers of voices here and there too, sometimes louder than others. Worst of all though is probably the stench. The smell of rotting flesh just gets stronger and stronger the further you go.
Adachi's discomfort is obvious but he's a man on a mission and his determination shows. Love will find a way and all. Still... maybe that makes him a little too oblivious to things...
Have you been with him on this journey since the beginning? Or were you unlucky enough to find yourself in this literal Hell first?]

Those shadow creatures don't sit well with her, but she doesn't mention them to Adachi. No need to worry him if he hasn't seen them, and so far all they've done is watch, anyway. All in all, she is the best little underworld guide you could possibly have and i will not hear any differently]

Haha, maybe? I do something like this back home, too, though. Guiding people through the afterlife. I just don't think it's anything to be afraid of!

[but whatever he was about to say next doesn't matter anymore as he basically all but leaps over that black sludge and staring at it like it's some kind of big bad monster. Nerves? Phobia of maggots? Or just a particularly strong aversion?]

But yeah, no. What are they? Onis and... shin-guardies? [Anyway, maybe talking about it will distract him from his obvious nervousness.]

An Oni is a type of horned monster that roams these lands. They are also called ogres and trolls by those beyond the ocean. The shinigami however are spirits that show before people on their death beds.
[as Adachi explains though, the voices that echo the land start up again, this time louder and more clear... a woman's voice undeniably]
"...Who’re you?
And what’s this "something important" you called me out here for?"

[But her voice trails off as she hears the woman. Hey, intelligible words! She turns to shush Adachi real quick, whether or not it's actually necessary. After it's finished, she whispers:]

"What they say on the news isn’t true, is it?"
