[for the briefest of moments, you might be under the impression that you have found your way to the edge of the City Royale. Red and yellow leaves are strewn in all directions, hinting at the time of year. While the streets seem deserted at first glance, occasionally, low, indiscernible murmurs can be heard. A foreboding red presence hangs in the sky. It may rain soon: the light trickling through clouds is faint, shadows linger a tad too long.

Somewhere, an inhuman roar sounds.

[whichever scorched path you take eventually leads away from the city. The bushes lining it, if any, are withered and dying. At the end are more buildings in differing stages of wreckage. But what sticks out most is the feeling of isolation that never quite goes away. Perhaps you fight it down. There are other, more important things to occupy yourself with.

Like the fact that you have to defeat your enemies before they get to you. Worse yet -- they may find your dearest person, who is defenseless against their ruthlessness and cunning. You have declared that person's enemies just as much yours.

Familiar faces press closer and closer, not bothering to conceal their malicious presences. Will you meet them head-on?]
