Who: Max Guevara and OPEN to anyone in the clinic.
What: Max waking up from the lobsters.
When: Tonight, March 23
Where: The clinic
Rating: PG, maybe PG-13
Notes: Prose or actionspam is fine. This covers all the time after she leaves the clinic as well, so if you think she would track you down as oppose to your character coming to the clinic, feel free to set that up too. This is the most flexible log.
[When Max comes to, the first thing she thinks is that someone mindwhammied her again. Which she hates, for the record. She doesn't remember any of it, but it's the most logical thing to have happened.
Then she realizes that she's sore and feels like crap, and she thinks that maybe it wasn't someone messing with her head. Maybe it was someone messing with HER. She groaned as she started to push herself into a sitting position before realizing she's in the clinic.
Great. Juuuuuuuuust great.]

Hey, pretty boy.

So, rumor is that you got taken down by some rogue lobsters.

Is that what those were?

Today he might be kicking himself a little for stepping out long enough to get some new books and clean paper. Mostly he's just happy to see her up. (And yes he's forgotten they haven't seen each other since the last time they worked together.)]
Max. [He goes to set down the books and paper down.] How are you feeling?

..... How long was I out?

... Oh. I can explain this when you feel better.

[she shifts to swing her legs over the side of the bed. She was feeling sluggish, but not terrible.]
You have a growth spurt?

[Steve's gaze is settled on her. He's earnest. He needs her to get it because Max is one of the people he respects most. It was never about power or proving people wrong like some might be inclined to believe.]
The way I was no one believed I could do it. No matter how hard I tried or what expectations I beat, it was never enough for them. Then I met this doctor, Erksine, he gave me a chance to become better so I took it. This is what I got out of it.

So what was it? Some kind of super steroids?
no subject
It's a serum that enhances the person who gets it; every part of them. [He points to his chest.]
That includes what's inside. It protects me too. I'm supposed to heal faster, never get sick, and all kinds of things I still have to figure out.

What's up?

Well, you left the clinic. I thought I'd come by and see how you're doing.
no subject
All better. You doctors are miracle workers.
[that last bit might be a little dry, but she's hoping it'll kill the subject. at the same time, she stepped to the side, giving him room to come in]
