So you grab a piece of something that you think is gonna last.
Who: Carolina and open!
What: Carolina doing maintenance on vehicles in the hangar. People dropping by. Awkward talks.
When: All day (Jan 20th)
Where: Noble Two's hangar, which Carolina has essentially taken charge of
Rating: Updated to R/NC-17 in the York and Carolina thread. Otherwise PG/PG-13 for most others.
After training and a few other things she needed to check in on, Carolina was back in the hangar, outside of her armor for the first time in a few days. While there were obvious uses for said armor, it made her current task of vehicle maintenance much more difficult. So, the Freelancer could be found in the various vehicles in the hangar, dressed in mildly civillian-esque uniform she'd worn out on the expedition, with the addition of a thicker jacket. After all, she couldn't run vehicles without proper ventilation and the only ventilation was opening the garage door a little.
She didn't plan on being bugged, but things were rarely as she planned them as of late.
(ooc: I'll slap up times below with Carolina's location/the vehicle she's working on below!)

"Hello?"
no subject
"Hey Rookie," she greeted as she tossed the workshop cloth onto the seat. "Surprised to see you out here."

If it hadn't been for the helmet, Carolina might have been able to see the tiny smile he gave in return as he wandered the rest of the way inside. The hangar receiving a short, sweeping glance as he did so.
"I see you've been busy."

That said, the Freelancer definitely wanted to do some building of her own, if nothing else but to gain a few more specialized skills that she could possibly use out in the field. She didn't have much of a mechanic's thumb herself, though, which made upkeep about as much as she could do for now without blowing anything up.

Especially when he wasn't much of a mechanic either, so the whole blowing up thing was something he could relate to.

"Don't want her and your work going to waste." She glanced around at the hangar herself. In a way, the hangar was a home away from home, without all of the magic, wishes, and impossibilities of the Castle; she was grateful to Kat for having built it, more now than ever.

"Think there's quite a few people that would appreciate that, ma'am. Not just me."
Rookie will then take a second to lift the cloth up a bit, waving it back and forth to hint towards his next comment. "Would you like some help cleaning up?"
no subject
"Wouldn't hurt." With a slight push, she hopped back down to the floor of the hangar. "Shouldn't be much. Didn't want to leave a mess before dinner."
And hey, he could always join her for dinner, after all. It'd give her an opportunity to get to know him better.
