So you grab a piece of something that you think is gonna last.
Who: Carolina and open!
What: Carolina doing maintenance on vehicles in the hangar. People dropping by. Awkward talks.
When: All day (Jan 20th)
Where: Noble Two's hangar, which Carolina has essentially taken charge of
Rating: Updated to R/NC-17 in the York and Carolina thread. Otherwise PG/PG-13 for most others.
After training and a few other things she needed to check in on, Carolina was back in the hangar, outside of her armor for the first time in a few days. While there were obvious uses for said armor, it made her current task of vehicle maintenance much more difficult. So, the Freelancer could be found in the various vehicles in the hangar, dressed in mildly civillian-esque uniform she'd worn out on the expedition, with the addition of a thicker jacket. After all, she couldn't run vehicles without proper ventilation and the only ventilation was opening the garage door a little.
She didn't plan on being bugged, but things were rarely as she planned them as of late.
(ooc: I'll slap up times below with Carolina's location/the vehicle she's working on below!)

He straightens, and walks further in, whistling lowly. "Impressive gear."

"Noble Two built almost all of these, as well as the hangar." She wasn't about to take credit for something that wasn't hers.

"Need some help with anything? I'm pretty good with mechnanics."
Considering the fact that he modified his own MJOLNIR armour.

"Most of the vehicles aren't in need of major repair, just some maintenance. Two built these to last." If the other woman ever came back, Carolina would have to give her a big thank you, and not just for the vehicles.

Hey.

Hey. [She doesn't look pissed, though, instead clearing a couple maps from the counter in front of the seat beside her, silently inviting him over.]
no subject
What's that?
no subject
[She points to a small structure on the map closest to her.] There's a lot more here than I expected.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rookie," she greeted as she tossed the workshop cloth onto the seat. "Surprised to see you out here."

If it hadn't been for the helmet, Carolina might have been able to see the tiny smile he gave in return as he wandered the rest of the way inside. The hangar receiving a short, sweeping glance as he did so.
"I see you've been busy."

That said, the Freelancer definitely wanted to do some building of her own, if nothing else but to gain a few more specialized skills that she could possibly use out in the field. She didn't have much of a mechanic's thumb herself, though, which made upkeep about as much as she could do for now without blowing anything up.

So he's been avoiding her as much as possible, but when he hears the radio on when checking out the hangar as part of a normal patrol he thinks it's probably Six out here. He walks in and speaks loudly so he can be heard.]
Yo! Everything ship-shape?
All cool <3
So, climbing to her feet, Carolina moved to the open gunner's door, wiping her hands off on a workshop cloth she'd used earlier to clean up a few things.]
Hey. [She gestures back toward the cockpit with a cock of her head, before pausing.] Coolant line's clogged. Not surprised with how long it's been since she's been flown.

His posture stiffens up and York almost sucumbs to the strong desire to just turn and leave without further comment, but Delta sharply reminds him that would not only be rude, but wouldn't help his current emotional state in the slightest. Instead, York crosses his arms defensively, scowling under his helmet.]
And what does that matter if none of this is real?

Once he wandered through the door, he stomped the snow from his sneakers and pulled off his glasses to wipe off the steam. "Hey, C, you in here?"
no subject
"Over here, HH," she spoke up from underneath the WWII-era Jeep, sliding out and shifting to stand.
