Who: Carolina and open!
What: Carolina doing maintenance on vehicles in the hangar. People dropping by. Awkward talks.
When: All day (Jan 20th)
Where: Noble Two's hangar, which Carolina has essentially taken charge of

After training and a few other things she needed to check in on, Carolina was back in the hangar, outside of her armor for the first time in a few days. While there were obvious uses for said armor, it made her current task of vehicle maintenance much more difficult. So, the Freelancer could be found in the various vehicles in the hangar, dressed in mildly civillian-esque uniform she'd worn out on the expedition, with the addition of a thicker jacket. After all, she couldn't run vehicles without proper ventilation and the only ventilation was opening the garage door a little.

She didn't plan on being bugged, but things were rarely as she planned them as of late.

[He pours her one more, the loser's penalty (though of course he might pour himself some more later).]

Missed you these past few days.

[And Carolina quickly knocks back that third. Yeah, she's gonna start feeling it in a few minutes. Three in a very short amount of time is going to start affecting her for sure in no time. She just smiles. They're in private, things have been mostly sorted through, why not speak her mind and be open with him.

The words sound hideously trite to her, though,] Missed you these past two weeks. [Especially last Friday. ]

[Have they talked enough yet? York thinks maybe they've talked enough now. He leans over to kiss her on the mouth, slowly and softly and tenderly.

How much did you miss me, he's asking without words.]

[Carolina at first is taken by surprise with the kiss, but very okay with it. She places her hand on the side of his neck, feeling the warmth of his skin under her touch. Sure, his armor's in the way, which makes getting too much closer difficult, but this is good enough for now. Her lips move slowly against his, her mouth opening slightly.

Yeah, she missed him a lot, more than enough to start making out with him in a pantry.]

[Just be careful of the implant slot, because if her fingers get too close to there he'll freak out a little much. He does like and trust her very much, but his sanity's kind of dependent on Delta's presence.

Aside from that, though, he'll just kiss her back nice and slowly, sensually. Eventually he breaks it, though, with a smile that's really more of a smirk.]

Missed me that much, huh?

[Carolina's fingers do eventually pull back from their place at the side of his neck, moving up to his jaw and cheek (and well away from that implant slot, even if she's not consciously doing it for that reason. Him breaking the kiss has her frowning a little, albeit with much more of a flush to her face than before, partially because of the whiskey.]

It's a pretty accurate estimation.

[She's definitely not the only one who's flushed, alcohol or not. He could definitely go for something a little more intense...but this probably isn't the right place for it.]

What do you think? Much else you want to do with the machines tonight, or are we free for the weekend?

[...Not that it means she probably won't be up at six tomorrow, but she should know what he means.]

You still have one more job tonight. [Carolina holds up a finger.] Not with machines.

[She waits for a moment, probably just long enough for him to get a very different mental image than what she's about to say. Hey, she can tease too.

Leaning up nice and close, she speaks across his lips.] You need to teach me how to put up a tent, still.

[...She is a terrible tease and that is not fair. At all.]

--Right. Uh, right. A tent. Is indoors all right?

[Since it's a little cold out. Also, he should probably get his armor off while he's still somewhat sober, since he does fully intend to try a few things that don't involve it at all later tonight.]

[Carolina chuckles and bites her lip mischievously, the alcohol starting to really loosen her up. ] We can move the mats from the weight room out and make camp in the hangar.

[She's beyond grinning at this point, taking a huge victory in having properly teased him.]

Sounds good, I think. Mind if I change first?

[...It's really not necessary to be out of armor to put up tents, and they both know it. Still, he asks.]

Let's move the mats first. [Partially because that armor would lend some strength, and because the last thing they'd want to do while properly drunk would be to try and lift anything heavy.

Regardless, she slips her hand into his and tries to lead him toward the weight room.]

Good point. [He'll squeeze her hand fondly as she leads him, though of course he has to let go when they're ready to roll up a few mats to move.]

How big of a tent you got?

[Carolina stares at the mats for a moment, her gaze a little bleary from whiskey.] Two people. It's a two-person tent.

[And she's leaning over to pick up the mats, feeling more and more buzzed.] I think.

[That gets a grin. York himself isn't that buzzed yet (plus he's had less), but he can see this happening pretty easily, especially if he has a few more shots later. He takes a few mats from her.]

This should be enough, then. You want to grab the tent while I set these up?

[youfallback]

I'll get the tent and the whiskey. [With a chuckle as she reaches forward to tap the side of his face. It really is the three shots in a row that are starting to get to her.] And our glasses.

[Man, doing all the heavy lifting here.]

Sounds like a plan. [He can't help grinning at her - she's relaxed, she seems to be happy, and most of all she's here.

Before too long, he's laying out the mats in the hangar, making sure to have enough room for a standard two-man tent. He may have to make more than one trip.]

EMILE AND CAROLINA SLUMBER PARTY~

[Carolina grins wildly back at him as she leaves him to take care of those mats. She'll be coming in a little bit later with the tent slung over one shoulder, the bottle of whiskey, and the two shot glasses, setting down her cargo with that same grin she left with.]

Hey there. [He takes a break from adjusting the mats to give her a quick kiss and then pour himself another shot. No reason she should be the only one who's a litle past buzzed.]

Okay. Now, where are the poles?

[youfallback]

[And Carolina's not about to be outdone by him, so she pours one for herself as well. It's so on, York. She gives him a light shove, though.]

Not in armor. Go. [She's just sober enough to see a problem with him trying to get that armor off later.]

Right. Be right back.

[Of course, it takes him more than a couple minutes to go upstairs, get out of armor, and head back downstairs. It's not easy to get in and out fully, but she's plenty aware of that. He'll come back down in some comfortable-looking sweats.]

[While he's changing, Carolina's moseyed off to a room she's essentially claimed as her own to quickly change into sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt herself, as well as to bring down a nice flannel blanket to cover the mats with. She's sitting with her legs folded on said mats when he comes back down, leaning back on her arms.]

Ready to make a tent?

[Girl, are you sure we even need to--no, he promised he would help her put up a tent. He is rather tempted to just press her down to the floor, but that can wait.]

Right, so. Poles. Should be a couple different lengths here, so let's sort them.

[Carolina's not thinking much different herself as she climbs up to her feet so she can open the drawstring of the tent bag. Inside is a smaller bag, containing any number of tent poles that she's somewhat less efficiently sorting out. This would be more effective with more whiskey, right?

Right. So she's pouring out a shot for each of them before setting the bottle in the middle of her sorted-out tent poles. Now it's a masterpiece.]

[It's times like this York is really glad neither of them is going to be operating heavy machinery for a while. As it is, he takes the next shot.]

Okay, so we gotta match the pole lengths up to the...the rest of the tent first. Let's lay it out flat so we can figure out what goes where.

[He'll also start rather lazily hooking the poles together that seem to match. With Delta's help, it's surprisingly accurate.]
