There's an anticipatory air that morning. The last day. There isn't much else to be done but put all this work and planning together towards a final product, one that could possibly benefit the residents for months if not years to come. If it worked, of course.

TESTING - PART 2

The final wards are up and it's time to see if they work correctly.

Felix sighs, looking a little weary from the effort and says, "Now we see what it can stand against. Throw whatever you can think of at it."

Hopefully, he was right, and they'd all be stronger together.

It's not much, but I'll do what I can.

[Raine stands back a bit from the target area and raises her staff. A golden spell circle forms underneath her as she gathers the mana necessary for one of the only destructive spells she can use.]

Light! Ray!

[And there's a mid-powered, dispersed attack of light beams. It's probably fairly easily blocked by the warding, unless there are any obvious holes.]

....... [ It's really just a large amount of silence as his mana gathers and shapes into something red about him. He'll follow that Light spell up with one of nothing in particular. ]

Meteor Storm. [ Hopefully those wards against force work well, because that is what the meteors are really going to do.

... and don't worry if some of them fall a bit close, Duke's marked everyone as friendly. ]

Yuan watches that second spell go off with a bit of surprise. In the face of a freaking Meteor Storm spell

(of all things - he thought only elves knew how to do that, but on second thought, how does anyone outside Aselia know? and on third thought, people from other worlds not tied to his own keep coming here knowing spells that should be world-specific, so why shouldn't Duke be one of those, it's just really annoying to him that he can't figure out why it happens)

his own contribution seems a little bit underpowered, but he can't pull an Indignation Judgement out except under special circumstances. So he focuses on the next best thing, building up lightning mana around and inside himself.

"Souls of the restless dead, I call upon thy fury. Unleash thy thunderous rage against my foe! Indignation!"

A glowing light shines down from a point several feet above the target, and a huge bolt of lightning strikes from it, followed by a dome-shaped wave of lightning-based energy. The wave grows outward from the strike point to reach ten feet in diameter, intensifies for a moment, then vanishes, leaving only a scent of ozone in the air.
