[ Klaus had his priorities, something along the lines of: coffins, Stefan, make hybrids. Somewhere between those things-to-do he also planned to pick out a nice house for his dearest family to live in, lined with the best oak and a chandelier made of Bohemian crystal, each room furnished the way he thought his siblings would like them. He kept a detailed shopping list somewhere.

Of course, the point of owning property would be to stay (the point would be to have company to share it with) and as of this moment, he was just itching to leave and maim something on his way out, preferably both and preferably now.

He sauntered about the place to look for better playthings, meeting people's eyes and smiling when it occurs to him, and bumping past people because he just doesn't give a shit. ]

The kitchen has a lot of different drinks.

[ He waves his hand in the air dismissively. ] No, a real drink, with music! Company!

[catsong]

[Like an inn?]

Oh! I'm sorry, I don't know a place like that. There might be one in town.

[precede]

Well, fine. I've got the company already. [ Absently pointing his way. ] We just need the drink. So the kitchen might work fine.

[catsong]

O-oh, okay?

[He'll... awkwardly move towards the kitchen, not sure what to make of the situation. However, the man's frankness made him think of Rai, so it wasn't too bad.]

[ Slipping one hand into his pocket and strolling to follow the ribika! ]

So. What can ribikas do than humans can't?

[catsong]

I don't know a lot about Hu Mans, and here there are a lot of people that have amazing powers even if they seem like Hu Mans.

[He looks a bit thoughtful.]

But I guess we're more agile and have claws? Oh, and the Singing.

[precede]

[ He crosses his arms as he saunters. ]

What singing?

[catsong]

Well, it's a gift some ribika are born with... we Sing to power our fighting partners.

[precede]

[ Raising one eyebrow at him. ]

Like cheerleading?

[catsong]

[He flicks an ear at that.]

I don't know what that is. It's more a kind of magic, I suppose?

[precede]

It's when you yell inane things at your--fighting partner so he'll perform better.

[catsong]

...that's odd.

[How is that even helpful?]

Singing's odd.

[catsong]

Well, I suppose it must seem odd to non-ribika.

[precede]

So. If you sing for me, I get stronger?

[catsong]

If you're a fighter, yes.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment. His training with Durge had been vastly different from training with Rai.]

But I'm pretty new to it and it's very hard to do it with non-ribika. It is supposed to be better if you have a bond, though.

[precede]

Everyone's a fighter. Some just aren't very good at it.

And, that's why we're about to have a drink now.

[catsong]

Most people are... and others are sanga.

[When the reach the kitchen, Konoe peeks inside.]

I don't think I'm the kind to drink, though.

[precede]

[ He just walks past him, not caring if he bumped into him (again) or not, and looks for the alcohol. ]

Again, everyone's the type to drink only you probably don't know it yet.

[catsong]

[He's at least more prepared this time.]

No thanks.

[There might be beer in the fridge.]

[precede]

[ He rummages through the cabinet, letting the half-opened cereal boxes tumble to the floor because he can't be bothered to give a damn. Then--ahh, cold beer. He takes on for himself and throws one over at the ribika. ]

Catch!

[catsong]

[Holy crap!

...thankfully, he's got those cat reflexes and catches the can easily.]

Ah...?

[precede]

[ He twists open his beer and takes a gulp, gesturing at the one in the ribika's hand. ]

Drink up.

[catsong]

[It takes him a moment to figure out how to open it - and then the scent makes the catboy frown.]

It smells rather odd.
