[She smiles, pouring him a cup and handing it to him.] There you go.

Thank you! [He gives her a beaming childish smile. It was entirely an act, but he was fairly sure she wouldn't notice. No one ever did.]

I couldn't reach the counter at all!

I noticed that. [Pauses.] You know, you're probably a little young to be drinking coffee, come to think of it.

But I like it! And there isn't anything else to do right now.

We don't have a lot of options in here, do we?

Not really. [He was really unhappy about being unable to investigate the murder they'd heard about through the journals. Hattori was passing observations to him, but it wasn't the same as being able to see the scene for himself.] I hope we can leave here soon.

Me too. It's really...unsettling, being locked in here like this.

I don't like it at all. There's nothing to do here.

No, there's not. I mean, I work here, but it's hard to treat anyone when we're cut off from the rest of the castle.

And it's hard to investigate when the crime happened out there.

I'm an elementary school detective.

Of course! At home we even have a detective club at school. [An exaggeration, but technically true. He was the only true detective in the club.]

Well, that's different then the clubs most schools have. It sounds exciting, though.

It is! We get to go on lots of adventures together. [Most of them he get forced on against his will.]
