Who: Crowley and Faye
What: Getting answers
When: Today!
Where: Let's say Faye's room
Rating: We'll go with PG13 for now.
Crowley had been trying to get the truth out of Faye's attacker from her since he found her in the infirmary. As was typical of the woman, she evaded his questions at every opportunity and was always conveniently 'away'. He didn't get it, it was like she was trying to protect whoever it was or something.
...Which knowing the circles Faye often found herself in didn't surprise him at all. Still, Crowley was annoyed and this person, well, he needed to have words with them about proper conduct around people the demon considered 'his'.
And so, he came to her room in the wee small hours of the morning, when he assumed she'd be asleep. It was too late for the bars to be open, but too early for the sun to be up. Perfect timing to catch her, really. He hoped.

"Define 'something stupid'".

"The fact that you have to ask me that is really not reassuring."
But she took some time to really think about it. Because, it wasn't really the fact that he wanted to do something about it that she had a problem with... more of just the fact that it would end up coming back around to get her afterward.
Which, when she thought about it, maybe he could get away with pretending like he'd connected the dots himself. And she'd hold back some key information... like the fact that she's dead certain that she knows what else Zelman had been out doing that night.
That one, she was taking to the grave.
"...By 'stupid,' I mean anything that's going to make me look like a big tattletale."

The demon considered this request, mentally turning it at each and every angle, finding a way he can keep such a promise while still exacting a certain about of fiery revenge.
"I can manage that. I do read the journals all the time, after all. Keep my ear to the ground."

Or something.
It was weird, obliging to basically let someone and go do something stupid on her behalf. ...Usually she was getting people to do stupid things on purpose, for very different reasons.
She didn't know what she thought about it, but the fact that Crowley was nigh indestructible made it a little easier to take.
She just had to remind herself that she was keeping the actual big information hushed up... and had to get over the sudden feeling that admitting who'd attacked her would quickly be followed by 'should have expected it' feelings.

He watched her in silence for a while, before arching a bro under his shades.
"Well?"

She hadn't realized how much that fact had been bothering her, until the name got stuck in her chest when she tried to admit it.
Which was stupid, because she'd known what sort of dangerous creature he was. She'd practically expected something like this. But, still... it takes an effort to pry it out.
"...It was Zelman."

Crowley's silent for a while. Another vampire. This was becoming a habit, having vampires attacking the people he cared about. Even worse, he thought Zelman was actually okay.
That's what he got for letting the stupid human habit of believing the best in people into his life. The fucker.
"I see." his tones were measured, much more so than the rest of him.
He and Zelman. They would be having words.

"So, you get where the problem is."
Maybe he doesn't know what Zelman is capable of to the extent that she did, but she hoped that he at least had some idea.
"Just... don't make this any worse than it already is, okay?"

"I give you my word."
