Who: Sasuke and you
What: Sasuke is thinking about the fact his birthday is tomorrow.

It was just like any other day, Sasuke went through his usual routine of training in the morning and somehow he found himself on the roof. Luckily there wasn't anyone else up there right now so for now he free to just sit there in solitude.

His birthday was tomorrow. The one day of the year he dreaded the closer it approached, especially in this place. It was his second one here, after all, and it was another reminder that it was almost two years that he was still here and no closer to finding his way out of Paradisa. Sasuke just let out a sigh and was just staring at the night sky trying to distract himself.

Unfortunately for Sasuke, there was at least one girl who didn't forget that particular date! But she hadn't heard from Sasuke in awhile, and she was getting worried that he had left, like Sakura had just recently. She had made her way into the castle tonight to check his nameplate. Seeing it was still there, she had sighed in relief ... but noticed he wasn't actually in his room, if her chakra sensing had anything to say about it. Probably out training, she figured.

Well, the easiest way to look for someone who might be outside was the roof, so she had made her way up there to see if he was out on the grounds somewhere. To her surprise, once she had gotten up to the top, it was easy to spot him sitting ... well, on the roof. Perfect! She approached him carefully, making sure to give him a little space as she sat down next to him.

"Hey."

Sasuke was caught up in his thoughts for a few minutes at most but that didn't even last long since he could sense Ino approaching him anyway. He should have expected that someone would eventually come up here too but it was too late for that now.

Without saying a word he looked over at her in his own way of acknowledging she was there when she sat down next to him before greeting him. "...Ino. What are you doing up here?"

[ino]

"Looking for you, actually!" She moved to lay back on the roof to look up at the sky, her legs crossed. It's a sort of signal that she's comfortable around him/not afraid of him, in a way.

She kept her tone even, even though it was probably obvious that she was upset by the forthcoming news. "You know Sakura left, right?"

Sasuke notices that and though he was a bit surprised that she was looking for him, the moment she mentions Sakura he figures that's most likely the reason why. He just nods at her question, Sakura's room was right across from his so it was easy enough to pick up on the fact she left since her name wasn't there anymore "Yeah, I'm aware that she left"

"Mm," she replied vaguely. She wasn't really sure what to say about it -- it wasn't the first, or second, or even third time this has happened. And it's not really something she wanted to complain about to Sasuke, because she figured he probably wouldn't care, or he'd just look down on her for being sad about it.

So instead, she'll change the subject, after a few moments of silence. "Do you have plans for tomorrow?" Since it's his birthday, and all. She doubted he had any real plans beyond training, but ... it didn't hurt to ask?

"Tomorrow?" Sasuke just shrugs at that sudden subject change, he knew what day it was but it hardly mattered to him anymore, he was just treating it like any other day going about what he usually does to because to him it wasn't really worth celebrating in the least. "Not really"

[ino]

She glanced over at him when he replied, letting out a soft sigh. It was to be expected, but still ... with him, it was always business, always serious. Always the short responses that made her feel like he would rather she left him alone. But Ino was nothing if not stubborn, and so she sat up with a smile. Unlike the past times Sasuke had been around, this particular one was proving to be something of an enigma. With enough time and persistence, the others had -- sort of -- caved, they'd become allies at the very least, if not friends. She was determined to make that happen again, no matter what it took.

"Let's do something, then!" She paused, before realizing she didn't know how old he'd be. "How old will you be?"

Sasuke's immediate response to the first statement is to refuse because he would rather be left alone especially given the day. However, the following question made him pause for a bit because his age isn't something he really thinks too much since it's only another reminder of how many years it's been but he does eventually respond "...I'll be 18"

[ino]

"Eighteen? Really?" She smiles. She knows he probably doesn't want to do something, but being distracted would be better for him than moping alone. "You know, eighteen is a really important birthday in some worlds. It's a sign of adulthood, and all that."

[vengefully]

Sasuke just nods at first, though as Ino continue talk about it's apparent significance in other worlds, he couldn't help but frown at that "That doesn't matter, it's not exactly important to me"
