[Neal both lives and works in this bookstore. He also can't leave it. Condition of his loss parole. Regardless, he really knows all there is to know about these old musty books, and is willing to assist you in any way possible.

Also, he would really like to know where his People have wandered off to, but from what he can tell on the journal -- that could be more complicated than he'd like. So for right now, he just keeps an ear out for familiar voices, and does his job.

It's easier than trying to convince them all they've been conned.]

Gotcha. [Stiles will flip through a couple books. Eventually he picks out two leather bound books and deposits them on the counter.]

I'd like to buy these.

[nods as he takes the volumes from him and goes to ring them up]

Doing some research?

Sort of. It's just stuff I'm interested in. The rest of my family is more into science, so it's not like I can talk to them about it.

Sometimes people have different interests. There's nothing wrong with that.

[Stiles nods] Yeah, I know. I never said it was a bad thing. It's just- [he waves his hand vaguely] I like learning about it, even if I know none of it's real, y'know?

[shrugs as he rambles off the price]

You never know. The world might surprise you.

[He'll hand over the cash for his books]

Maybe, but I doubt any werewolves would just show up and admit to it. If they did exist, and I'm not saying they do, they'd probably keep their existence secret.

Probably. But that usually depends on circumstances, don't you think?

[He has to take a moment to stare at Neal]

Have you met any werewolves recently? Is that a thing, here?

[smirks a bit, before shaking his head]

I just like to consider myself open to the possibility.
