Who: Simon and River Tam
What: The siblings catch up and Simon tries to make sense of the fact that his sister has been present for months when he last remembers seeing her just before his arrival.
When: August 5th, before Simon sees Wash and Zoe outside
Where: Simon and River's room
Rating: Probably PG.
Even having been in Paradisa for several weeks now, Simon was still adjusting to life there.
He was sure, of course, that the brief detour to a massive family reunion and all the mistaken identities and relationships it had caused did not help, but he was finding it hard to settle in. Hard to accept, truly accept, that he was trapped. And hard to reconcile the fact that his sister had apparently been here for a long time, yet she had been right nearby when he last remembered being on Serenity.
But, as usual, his sister needed time to settle, as well, and so it was a while before he decided to bring the subject up with her.
"Meimei," he said to her one day as they were relaxing in their shared room, "I think we need to talk."
