Although it was something of a last minute production, South was eager for the chance to rub in York's age a little. She'd felt at such a disadvantage being the baby of her little group, and once the opportunity presented itself for a little mischief she couldn't ignore it.

It had taken some organization and a call out to York's friends, but people who knew him (and even some who didn't) were willing to pitch in and help out.

Thus, South had put up a bunch of decorations, in addition to whatever some of the others brought in. She even had a special hat for the party Boy. Five had someone making a cake, Aradia was helping put up decorations, Reno was in charge of alcohol ... South was quite pleased with herself.

The Master turned in a way that released him, while seeming unconcerned by the contact.

"Good evening, my dear. What is the occasion?"

South leans back and crosses her arms, quite happy with the way things are turning out.

"Old Man party for teammate of mine. He's turned the mind-boggling-for-humans age of forty."

[traken_master]

"I believe forty is merely middle age for humans, my dear," the Master pointed out dryly.

[i_got_this]

South just smirks. "The beginning of the end."

[traken_master]

"How grateful I am to not be human," the Master responded, dryly. "How far away are you from this dread number?"

[i_got_this]

"I still got a ways to go." She glances at him. A lady doesn't tell.

[traken_master]

The Master chuckled. "Of course, my dear. Personally, I'm glad to have left forty far behind. Puberty is undignified in any species."

[i_got_this]

South makes a face at him. "Geez, TMI, man, TMI!"

[traken_master]

The Master just laughed. "You brought it up," he said, shrugging. "Technically, at least."

[i_got_this]

"No, I just brought up that forty is old for humans. You were all 'let me tell you about my wet dreams.' Seriously, dude. TMI." She's not going to let him off the hook that easy.

[traken_master]

The Master gave her a wry look that bordered on annoyed.

"I don't recall offering to share any such personal details. I merely mentioned the changes that occur during adolescence. It's hardly my fault your mind went immediately 'to the gutter,' as you say."

"You guttered first." She's smirking, taking some small satisfaction in maybe gettimg him riled up a little. But, she's bored of the topic now so she's going to drop it. "So do you guys have parties like this at all?"

[traken_master]

"On Gallifrey, you mean? No. They are far too stodgy and dignified to understand the concept of a party such as this. Gallifrey rarely has parties. Most Time Lords prefer ceremonies, with complicated rituals and long speeches."

[i_got_this]

"Gross. That does not sound like a good time. At least tell me there was an open bar?" She's swirling around her drink a little in consideration as she makes a face at him.

[traken_master]

"I'm afraid not. Drinking publically is not something Time Lords indulge in often. There's a reason I left, with no intention of returning."

[i_got_this]

"Man, that sucks. Good thing we've got a decent stash here, right?"

[traken_master]

"Yes, though somehow, I can't find the idea of being inebriated in Paradisa attractive. The castle plays enough mind games, without my aiding it with alcohol."

[i_got_this]

"Oh, come on; it's games on our own terms! Nothing wrong with a bit of self-inflicted inebriation." She's going to fill up a glass of bourbon and hand it over to him. "Live a little."

[traken_master]

The Master chuckled, taking the bourbon and downing it. He smiled, handing her the glass.

"Nothing here is on our terms. Also, it takes a considerable amount and conscious effort on my part to get me drunk."

"I don't know, if I say I want to get drunk right now, I can get drunk right now." She knows she probably shouldn't, since technically she's the hostess for this shindig, but a little bit wouldn't hurt. She refills the glass, and then hands the bottle over to the Master and holds onto the glass for herself.

"Cheers!"

The Master sets the bottle down.

"You know, I'm going to laugh at you, if the castle prevents you from getting drunk."

[i_got_this]

"That's just a challenge to get me plastered, isn't it?" South grabs up the bottle herself and tops off her drink. "And I should have made a bet with you or something because I'm already feeling a little buzzed."

Her expression suggests this is a mighty awesome thing of which to be proud of.

[traken_master]

"I'm not the type of man who gets women or other men plastered at parties. I've never seen the appeal in it," the Master denied, wryly. "You should have perhaps, but you strike me as someone who has a reasonable tolerance for alcohol. Are you certain the castle isn't enabling you a bit?"

[i_got_this]

South scoffs. "No. I'm the only one enabling me at the moment. Oh, me and you. You're totally enabling me."

"I'm happy to be of service, my dear."
