She'd done pretty well, keeping to Chief Warrant Officer Jorge's advice to stay incognito, but if there was one thing about Catherine's personality that would never change, it was her curiosity.

Even now, a week or so since she'd woken up back in the castle, she's finding things to do and explore, perhaps getting a little bolder with time and experience. Her morning has her in the kitchen making ~~a mess~~ breakfast, and then scouring through the library for curious texts from all other worlds.

She breaks for lunch, experimenting with wishing up a sandwich and enjoying it in the Four Seasons room. After that, it's exploring what corners of the castle and grounds she hadn't had a chance to check out yet.

[Carolina's in the process of heading down to the kitchen herself, trying to walk off another morning's hangover so she can get to the gym sometime before lunch. Blinking over at the kid in the kitchen, at first she doesn't think anything of her before she does a double take. Wait a second.

There's something inexplicably Cat about the girl's face and even through the weight of the hangover, Carolina's having difficulty dismissing it as coincidence.]

Noble Two?

[She looks up at Carolina, frowning slightly. She'd met Noble members here, but there's been no indication that she'd be one of their own in a handful of years.]

No, I'm Catherine B-320. [Obviously you are mistaken. Her voice carries the same clipped, almost sassy nature, as well as the heavy Isreali accent.]

[Catherine B-320. Carolina doesn't know that name in particular, but the girl looks so strikingly familiar, her mannerisms so like Cat that she once again can't help.] Cat. You're Cat.

[Catherine looks at Carolina blankly for a moment. Apparently her full name wasn't popular around here.]

Yes. You?

[She's still busy constructing her breakfast.]

Agent--- [Yeah, there's no need to start taking shots while introducing herself.] I'm a friend of York's.

[And watching that breakfast constructing.] Anything I can help with?

[She perks up immediately hearing that.]

Agent York is an ally. [And therefore Carolina is an ally ... unless she gives Catherine any reason to think otherwise ...]

[She looks down at the small feast she has assembled. Given her training regimen, what she's been trying to do on her own here, she's certainly gearing herself towards bulking up.] Nah, I'm good.

[Carolina nods efficiently as she heads over to the cabinet to grab some breakfast for herself. That's a really impressive meal Kat's got set up there.]

Hungry?

It was a little disorienting, seeing that face in a place that wasn't the mirror. Add to the fact that the last time that happened, she would up with a bullet in her heart and a summer vacation at Manticore. Her first instinct was to run at her on the bike she's straddling, full speed ahead so that she didn't get shot again. Manticore was a nightmare she never wanted to repeat.

She knew it wasn't logical. She knew that she was in Paradisa, and that odds are, the kid in front of her wasn't a clone with her DNA, but it still makes her stop. Just for a second.

"Hey!"

Then again, it is Paradisa. You never know.

Catherine looks up sharply at that, and stands stock still. It had been a while, and they'd only met the once way back when she had first 'arrived' here at the age of eight. She's initially tense, but after a moment to recall the memory, she relaxes slightly.

"Hey."

There's no gun in her face, so Max figures that's a sign of ... something. She relaxes a bit. "Sup?"

Catherine looks at her blankly for a moment. Such slang phrases as 'sup' failed to get into her repertoire, so it takes her a moment to put together context cues for a possible meaning.

"I'm exploring. Sup?" She means it in kind, even if it comes out a bit formal and awkward sounding.

Not bad. Max smirks a bit before nodding. "Just taking my bike for a ride. It's good to get it out every once in a while."

She takes a few steps closer to look at it. It didn't look aynthing like the 'Mongoose' motorcycles they had at Camp Curahee.

"It looks fast."

"It is. I don't ride anything that isn't."

She's falling fully to her curiosity, easing up as she starts to ask questions about it.

"How fast can it go?"

"I've pushed 120." There's a beat. "Miles per hour." Because some people measure it differently.

[Kat nods. She was more familiar with kilometers, but she knew how things translated. She looks up at Max.]

Can I have a ride?

[there's a pause as she considers it for a moment, before shrugging.]

Sure. Hop on.

[She breaks into a wide grin and does just that, hopping on deftly and looking excited for the ride.]

[Max slides her sunglasses back on before starting up the bike.]

Hold on tight.

[Kat takes a grip, without being desperately tight. She was started on Pelican drops at six, riding around on a motorcycle was just up her ally.]

[with that she'll take off towards town, weaving her way between the buildings]

[Yeah this is great. There's something a little invigorating abut doing such a 'joy ride' without an objective or training session behind it.]

[That's why Max spends so much of her time on her bike. There's just this freedom to it. It's not something she wants to lose.]

[It's something Catherine's enjoying immensely at the moment, leaning slightly to the side so she can feel the air on her face.]

[she looks around through the industrial district, before heading back around through the main area of town.]

[Well, Wash had gotten to the point where he'd been able to easily work around the drunkenness that the loss had been trying to encourage. If you don't talk to people, you can't hear them say your name, after all.

But that was defintiely a familiar face in the hall from another loss. He hadn't reallt been paying attetnion, and now he feels guilty...] Kat?

[She turns to him, getting slightly irked that people kept using this nickname. At least this guy she recognized. She tenses slightly, expecting some kind of lecture.]

I wasn't doing anything.

[~~She probably was.~~]

Uh huh.

Sure you weren't.

I know better, kid.

Fine, then. What was I up to? [Crossing her arms and looking up at him with what would become the patented Kat-glare. With a Spartan Lieutenant around she was feeling a little bold with Washington.]

[The boldness just gets an amused laugh.] Haven't seen enough to tell yet.

[Six is watching the familiar youngster off and on. Seeing her heading to the Four Seasons room, Six had felt the urge to check on her, at least...

Once she sees her enjoying the sandwich, however, Six decides it may be better to just watch for now.]

[She's found a beach chair to enjoy her meal on so she doesn't get sand mixed in with it, taking full advantage of 'ordering' from the castle whatever she wanted.]

[but even as a kid Catherine never stops thinking, and it's not long before she's opening her journal and quietly nosing in on what's going on.]

[Kat had heard sensed someone was there, but she hadn't been expecting a Spartan. She swallows her mouthful before answering, with a quick salute before remembering things were a little more casual here.]

Yes, Sir.

You know, I still don't need the formalities. But it's good to see you adapting to the surroundings well.

Yes she did! She was one of the first :3 but it was a while ago.
