It's high time Mabel puts her ability to wish for anything to good use. She's got a long list of requests. So she's heard about that one time that everyone suffered for their wishes. Pfffft! That's in the past, and she promises to wish cautiously. She'll only wish for things that she absolutely needs.

What she absolutely needs is a bounce house.

It's a simple bounce house. Her only desire is to jump, not race awkwardly through an obstacle course. There's only so much enjoyment a kid can get from jumping on their bed, and what better way to fulfill the need to bounce than to wish for a quality bounce house? It's pretty great if she says so herself.

Mabel can be found inside the house, jumping and laughing and giggling to her heart's content. Anyone at all is free to join her, though she won't hesitate to remind others to play nice, remove all sharp objects, and always always keep their socks on.

Mabel's giggling was infectious, and in a second Aradia was laughing right along. She didn't need a mirror to figure she looked ridiculous, anyway.

"No, I understand," she said good-naturedly. "I mean, it's what, a giant balloon? Makes sense." She bounced up and down in place on the ramp, beginning to get a feel for its springiness, and after a moment added, "Can I come in now?"

Well, this is a new level of love and possibly a little bit of insanity. He almost looks unsure for a moment. There's a good chance she be a stalker, Spike, maybe you should rethink this.

"...Sure, I guess?"

[bezazzled]

Faster than she's ever moved before, she's climbing out of the house and scooping Spike in her arms for a big hug. She squeezes gently, lifting him off the ground. HE'S EVEN FUN TO HUG.

Mabel brought one hand over her mouth while the other pointed toward the entrance.

"Please watch your step as you board. Take a moment to find the nearest exit. In this case, the entrance is also the only exit. In case of a water emergency, this entire house can be used as a flotation device. Keep your body in an upright position at all times unless you are executing a sweet somersault. The captain has turned off the fasten seat-belt sign. You are free to bounce around the cabin!"

She stills at Mabel's prompting, and her bounces slow and shrink.

"Um...gosh, I don't know if I can..."

[bezazzled]

"Not with an attitude like that. Where's your confidence, girl? Tap into your girl-power! Find your inner diva! Other girl-centered catch phrases!"

He really is, he's not sure about suddenly losing contact with the ground, but whatever. A hug is a hug. At least she isn't trying to kill him or call him a lizard or something, which is a step up, all things considered.

That last one makes her laugh her odd, distinct laugh, and she starts to bounce a little higher.

"Well...alright! You've convinced me. I'll give it a shot!"

She gradually puts more and more power behind her bounces. Better step back, Mabel!

She looks pretty amused.

"Well, most internal organs are rather stationary relative to each other..."

When she finally sets Spike down, she stands back to look at him in awe. She really cannot get over how cute he is. It's not her fault. She's just never seen a baby dragon before.

"Sorry. I'm sure you get enough of these hugs and admiration on a daily basis from the rest of the castle."

[bezazzled]

"No no! I mean your soul! Flying is one thing, but you're always deciding what direction to go in. When you jump, you don't know where you'll land or how high you'll go."

She exhales, spreading her palms.

"It's hard to explain. It's something you have to actually experience to understand."

[bezazzled]

Meanwhile, Mabel chants Jane's name to give her encouragement.

"Jane! Jane! Jane! Jane!"

He smiles down at her in that kind of grimacing way of his, tilting his head a little to the side.

"You didn't eat yet? That seems dangerous too."

[cyan_maid]

Jane just can't stop laughing! She can't help it, no one's ever chanted her name like that - except maybe Roxy, sort of, to get her attention. Still, as she bounces higher, she takes deep breaths to calm down. And then...

"Oooph!"

The attempted flip looks more like a back flop, but she did try and after having the wind knocked out of her, she's laughing again.

He's down with that. It's only to easy to be awed in his amazing presence. It's a miracle more people don't swoon at his feet really.

"Ehhh, you'd be surprised," he says. "Most people think I'm a figment or their imagination. Or a lizard."

"It isn't a permanent?" Pepper is immediately curious if this has been wished up.

"Where did it come from?"

[bezazzled]

She smooths out her sweater and looks up at Hellboy.

"Well yeah! I didn't go on an entirely empty stomach. I did have breakfast. It's the most important meal, after all. Nothing like a bowl of sugary cereal to jump start the day."

[bezazzled]

Mabel puffs out her chest a bit proudly, one hand coming up to pat the house.

"I wished for it. Pretty great idea, huh?"

[bezazzled]

"You'd think they'd never seen a dragon before! It's not like they're not in tons of movies or video games. Some people, I tell you."

[bezazzled]

"Excellent first attempt!" Mabel keeps her enthusiasm going and extends a hand to help Jane up.

"I give it a solid seven, but I know you're capable of a ten!"

[huffythedragon]

"I know!" Mabel you are fast earning his ultimate friendship. "I never get the lizard thing. I mean, who's heard of a fire breathing lizard?"

Jane takes your hand and chuckles at that score. "Honestly, I am happy with the seven, but if you really think I can pull it off, I'll give it another shot." When she comes to her feet, she leans against the wall for a moment to catch her breath.

"Gosh, you're really quite cheerful! Are you always so?" She quickly adds, "It's a good thing, it really is."

There's a slight headtilt as she listens.

"Thou art speaking of being carefree, yes?"

"It's quite a unique idea, that's for sure."

Pepper smiles, she's not about to explain to a young girl about the cost that wish might be one day. "How long will it be here?"

Sugary cereal? He looks over at the bouncy castle.

"Well, that explains the bouncing," he answers wryly. "You know, I've never actually been in one of these."
