[Cleaning up after construction crews seems to be Pepper's part time job these days. They're efficient, which she's grateful for, but they are also not mindful of the thought that when the work is done there is still an inch of drywall dust on the flooring. The lobby, for the most part, is immaculate. She's laid out walkway of butcher paper that starts at the front doors and extends all the way to the service elevator for the rest of the crew to tromp on when they head up to the higher levels to help Tony with all of whatever else he's trying to accomplish. They don't always stay on the path.

Today though, she's made sure that they do stay on the path and she even bribes them with chocolate and cinnamon flavored coffee when they get up to the floor they have to work on today. She has gotten someone from the city to bring her the tree and it wasn't easy trying to organize that, but she knows it's going to be worth it. When it arrives, she sweeps all the stray pine needles up and just sits on the floor in front of it for a while. It feels nice to have something this big in the lobby that isn't hot rod red and trimmed in gold. Though, those are Christmas colors. She had already gone around inviting friends and others that she'd met since arriving here to help her trim the tree. She had boxes of ornaments and other things delivered in the weeks up to the arrival of the tree and all of the lights had been pre-checked to ensure there were no dead bulbs and no tangles to be had.

Rising to her feet, she moves to start with the lights, pulling the strand of colored bulbs out and grabbing the ladder to begin. People would show up, she knows they will and when they do she'll have them help make the lobby look less like a recent build site and more like the start of her new home.]

[The ballroom is set up with rows of tables. No one had to confirm, but she's been passing out fliers for some time now. If no one shows up, Jo will just have to hire everyone... or no one. There are dry erase boards and markers set at every booth. This way, people can write up all the information on their available positions and anything else and people can easily read it.

Jo has a table near the entrance with pens and notepads, in case people want to take notes (journal free). There's also fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water. Plus some cookies.

Jo's hopeful that this will at least get her one new employee, if not two.]

IMPORTANT: Once you enter the party, your clothing will CHANGE to the fashions of the 40s.
Note: The Lux has shifted into a ballroom, circa 1945ish. There is a back patio for all you smokers. A bar for getting drinks, and small tables set up around the dancefloor. Cake! Food! Drinks! Dancing! Music! Fun! A few needed sections are up, but feel free to just make your own! Tag around and threadjack! Prose/Action are both welcome!

[The music can easily be heard in the lobby, radiating from the back hallway toward where one would usually find the entrance to the Lux. It's still there, but this evening it's much larger and seems to be awaiting a much bigger crowd. Music plays, people dance, food is being eaten, and drinks are definitely being drunk. Everyone is dressed for a party... if it was 1945 and the war had been won.

If your world doesn't have that war, it's just a themed party to enjoy! Either way, enjoy yourself and try not to get punched by any of the bar staff.
