It's high time Mabel puts her ability to wish for anything to good use. She's got a long list of requests. So she's heard about that one time that everyone suffered for their wishes. Pfffft! That's in the past, and she promises to wish cautiously. She'll only wish for things that she absolutely needs.

What she absolutely needs is a bounce house.

It's a simple bounce house. Her only desire is to jump, not race awkwardly through an obstacle course. There's only so much enjoyment a kid can get from jumping on their bed, and what better way to fulfill the need to bounce than to wish for a quality bounce house? It's pretty great if she says so herself.

Mabel can be found inside the house, jumping and laughing and giggling to her heart's content. Anyone at all is free to join her, though she won't hesitate to remind others to play nice, remove all sharp objects, and always always keep their socks on.

"What can I say?" she asks with a shrug of her shoulders and a smile on her face. "I like to look at the brighter side of things. It beats the alternative of moping all the time."

She bobs on her heels a bit, though the bounce house exaggerates her movements. "Ready for try number two?"

Mabel's eyes widen and she gasps.

"Yes! That's exactly what I'm talking about! More or less!"

[bezazzled]

"Psh, I know I haven't. And I'm pretty sure lizards aren't super cute and friendly like you are. They're too busy eating bugs or something."

[bezazzled]

"You know, I never thought about that." She narrows her eyes in thought, frowning some. "Do wishes expire after a while? Will this thing turn into a pumpkin at midnight?"

[bezazzled]

"Really? Oh my gosh. You have got to try this. It's really the best."

Except... she looks him over. He's kind of actually really big and rough looking. Maybe if she wrapped him in bubblewrap...

"Is any part of you really sharp or pointy? It's kind of like a giant balloon."

[doublethefun]

Aaand she looks fairly contemplative for a long minute.

"I am not particularly sure. Is 'having fun' the same as being carefree?"

[bezazzled]

She makes a face. Is this pony for real?

"They usually go hand in hand, yeah."

[doublethefun]

Yup. Sorry, but you've met one of the grouchier ponies. At least she knows what 'fun' is at this point in time.

Hmmm. "There was a thunderstorm a few months ago. Dodging lightning is a rather amusing pastime, 'though I would not exactly describe it as 'carefree.'"

...Grin.

"It certainly does!" Jane says, grinning. Mabel's cheerfulness is catching, and soon enough Jane's back to bouncing again.

"I could give it another shot!"

Mabel, you are the best. Like, seriously, the BEST.

"That's what I'VE been saying. Nopony ever gets it!"

"How specific were you when you wished it up? Did you put a time limit on it?" These sort of things are important.

[hellshaped]

She'd better have a lot of bubblewrap.

Hellboy blinks at the question, then glances at the bouncy castle again before looking back at Mabel. "I sand these down," he says, pointing at the horn stumps on his head. "Can't really do a thing about the feet, though."

He extends his foot a little to give her a better look; he has cloven hooves instead of toes. They are pretty sharp.

Yeah, that's going to be a problem.

She looks up at him, still hopeful about his situation.

"How comfortable are you with putting foam on these puppies?"

[bezazzled]

"I didn't really specify. I've wished for other stuff before but they've never disappeared on me. Maybe this thing will stick around!"

[bezazzled]

"Well obviously, everypony is nuts." She says the word to both make him feel better and, well, because it's really fun to say it.

"It's official. You're the coolest person I know here."

[bezazzled]

Her eyes widen in surprise, but not wary.

"Whoa! No, that's totally carefree! It means you're free of caring about whether you get hurt or not, you know? That totally counts, too! I bet it's a lot of fun. If I was a flying pony, I know I'd try that out at some point."

Okay, she's lying about that last part, but what are the odds of her EVER turning into a pony?

Mabel brings her hands to cup around her mouth.

"The judges eagerly await Jane's second attempt. She's determined, she's ready, and she's going for the gold! A hush falls over the crowed..."

Oh goodness, this is too much fun! Jane's laughing again, but she's definitely trying to focus. Bounce, bounce, bounce...you could do it this time, Jane, you really could!

He grins, smoothing back his head frill.

"I know, it's a weight I have to bear, but I do it with pride, y'know?"

Julie observes Mabel a little before looking longingly inside the bounce house. It does look fun, and she's never seen anything like it before. Besides, when would she ever get the opportunity to do this again?

"All right," she says, reaching down to pull off her boots. Her socks are printed with cats. Wow, she chose today of all days to wear her most childish pair, but nonetheless, she hesitantly puts her foot on the slide, testing its bounce.

"Hope I don't break this thing."

"If thou wert a Pegasus pony, such things might be a matter of course. Forsooth, most Pegasi have the good sense to remain above the clouds during a storm."

[hellshaped]

Foam ... really. Hellboy just looks a little puzzled.

"I don't know," he says slowly. Didn't know if that would work, and also didn't know if that would, you know, not look too stupid.

[bezazzled]

She frowns a bit, but tries not to let it show.

"Well, I have been jumping all day. You can try to jump and if it pops, it won't be a total loss."

[bezazzled]

When Julie takes off her shoes (and reveals those absolutely adorable socks), Mabel's face brightens. She quickly crawls away from the entrance to allow the older girl entrance.

"Don't worry. This thing is for all shapes and sizes. You totally won't pop it. I've seen these bounce houses hold like a dozen kids all at once."

Pepper nods, glancing at the rather large inflatable structure.

"Well, I'll hope for the best for you. What's your name?"
