Who: Jade Curtiss and GLaDOS
What: Piano tiems
When: Afternoon
Where: Music Room
Rating: G..? Nothing bad is happening here, kiddos
As promised to GLaDOS, Jade was in the piano room a while later, practicing a bit on the instrument before she got there. It was more or less tuneless, just hitting keys to get used to it again. After all, it'd be rather disruptive if he suddenly hit the wrong keys. Once she entered and came to where he was, he'd give her a polite nod.

"Have you played for a long time?" she asked, instead of greeting or introducing herself.

"Not all my life, but I've lived long enough to qualify for a sleep aid from time to time."

"You would think that humans wouldn't need help for something so basic," she muttered, running her hands over her face, hoping that this might actually work.

An open-ended statement, left to interpretation. As they spoke, Jade started off with middle notes in a fluid, wandering melody. Nothing too complex just yet, as he was talking with her still.

"What sorts of needs did you have in mind?"
She couldn't help but bite into it, her head throbbing too much to interpret it her own way.

Jade didn't mean to sound like he was pontificating, but he was also stalling while he thought of something good to play for her. Maybe an Ispanian lullaby.

She drew her knees up to her chest and rested her cheek on them, looking towards the door.
"Humans need quite a lot to function correctly. It's a hassle," she replied, closing her eyes, trying to relax. The quiet music was nice, but it wasn't quite up to par with what she was expecting... Yet, anyways.

The melody begins to pick up a better quality. One that said he was settling into a piece, finally. As for him, he didn't have much to say after he started, trying to focus on not hittign the wrong notes. He didn't think it'd be terribly relaxing to mess up the fluidity.

She felt how this could bring humans to sleep- it was so comfortable to listen to, especially with her eyes closed. She might have even looked asleep, but she wasn't; GLaDOS was trying, though.

It took quite awhile, still, before she suddenly slumped more than usual, finally falling still, and asleep. Her face wasn't twisted in pain at all- if anything, she looked like she was at peace, her features slackened... She was hunched over, still slightly against the piano.

She finally would stir, eyelids fluttering, letting out a soft sigh...

"Mm..." she vocalized quietly, still slow and clumsy with sleep, before looking up to the piano seat, unsure if he would have been there- but there he was. "How long have I been out?"
She found herself stretching slightly, her jaw stretching into an internal yawn, unwilling to let it escape and look silly.

"A good few hours. Did you sleep well?"
no subject
"I think so. I didn't wake up at all while I was asleep."
She sounded a bit awed, just the slightest bit. Notably, she stood stronger, crossing her arms.
"Is there a science behind that music that soothes humans?" she couldn't help but ask, stepping beside the piano stool again.

"I was also running on barely any sleep, and a terrible headache. Which you most likely aren't."
