And the wind smells slow and sour when it blows

Who: The Once-ler and YOU!
What: Nightmares
When: Friday
Where: HIS MIND
Rating: Uh PG/PG13.

[You'd be forgiven for thinking you've entered a pleasant dream, rather than a horrific nightmare here. You've arrived in Truffula Valley, a peaceful, wonderful place that almost puts Paradisa's created beauty to shame. Forest creatures are scurrying about, singing and playing and generally going about their business.

The sky is bright blue, the sun is shining and the waters of the nearby river and pond are crystal clear. And most importantly there are miles upon miles upon miles of Truffula trees. For anyone the Once-ler described these trees to, he wasn't kidding. The touch of their tufts really is softer than silk and that comforting, wonderful smell? Fresh butterfly milk baby.

Nothing good lasts forever, and there's a general unease about the place. A disjointed sort of feel, like someone's putting on a play and you've already been told everyone dies at the end

[She should run, but she doesn't move. She hadn't faced the darkness itself and eight headed serpents to be scared of a machine. If anything she sits up, waiting for reason to strike Once-ler before it's too late.

And reason is surely taking its time...

Nope, it surely got lost somewhere in the way. While Amaterasu could wait another hundred of years to reborn, she doesn't want to wait that long! At the very last second she brings out her trusty sword, parring as many hits as she can from reaching her and the trees. She's not sure if she'll be able to hold on for long, but she cannot just stand there and do nothing!]

[She can only take so much for so long. No matter what she does, she doesn't seem to be making any damage. It is as if this destruction was predestined to happen, yet it doesn't mean she won't be letting it happen so easily.

The faster the machine goes, the less hits she can parry. They are bound to hit her at some point, and they do. One of the axes sends her flying away at last. The wolf bounces on the ground a couple of times, before staying still.

The Once-ler's machine can go on and do the job it was made to do now, happy?.]
